Really appreciate the getter done, no explaining, no endless BS how you made the blank, just carve and make it happen, thank you. Beautifully done, I can only imagine how beautiful the chair is after watching you do a beautiful job of carving the seat. Merry Christmas From Missouri

I really enjoy your videos. The camera angles are all great vantage points and very stable. The music is a refreshing change from sped up machine sounds. The skill and design are interesting, and your process is fun to watch. I also really value that your videos are not a series of commercials for shit I don’t need or want. Thanks for keeping it real and being true to your craft. I’m inspired and find I’m learning a lot.

Turned out really well, I just spent a weekend with Jory Brigham and we did some very similar lower carving on seats and seat back - great work

A great use for a great sander, gotta love that Festool. BTW, that Maloof seat reminds me of the hood of a '66 Catalina.

camgreer yeah it’s a pretty good sander . And it alway reminds me a of a sting ray back

This is a great video. As other commenters have said great camera work and the music is refreshing. There are other videos on carving the seat as you have done but I’ve not been able to find one showing carving the other sections of the seat, in particular the bottom and how it blends into the top. That is what I’m looking for in particular.

I drew lines across the front so I could see if I was even as I rounded the front . Even then it’s scary to go to far or not far enough.
@brianwoodworking69103 жыл бұрын
You just have to commit to it and get over being scared to do it! I’d rather see one of these chairs over carved, than under carved. Which under carved is what you see from most people and that’s why you see so many ugly power carved chairs
