Oddly enough Matt zip ties can do a lot of damage. I own and operate a small trucking company and do most of my own maintenance now. Zip ties are a great invention, but one has to still be very aware of any movement. Good find on the cable

Nylon ties will chaff, / eat it's way through caterpillar high carbon steel like it was butter. brand new 777 100 ton end dumps, a nylon tie down, securing a hydraulic hose, next to the die-cast steel frame, chaffed a notch in the frame of the truck, having no effect on the tie, but put a crevice the size of your finger in the frame, about the depth of what your finger is through. all those pumps singing / decimals play those ties like a violine bow on the strings.

To get rid of the salt on that pump, try a margaritas. 😊

Do you all warranty work on a submerged outboard? Even though it’s little, I’m surprised that outboard wasn’t a loss with insurance.

The Captain wanted us to try and get it working! Probably too small to claim on his insurance.

Engine's are made for salt water, my Yamaha is called salt water series yet almost every time it's salt water issues you'd think they'd have that figured out by now

If someone used a razor knife to trim off the zip tie instead of clippers they might have nicked the line 😮.
