Looks great and should work great also, I like the Missourioldtimer idea of the seat mounted. A lever off the treadle arm with a brake that contacts the pulley when the pedal comes up would stop it, but when the belt wears in it may stop better anyway. Look forward to seeing it painted and smashing hot steel!

Interesting build. Was a pleasure meeting you this weekend. You have a new subscriber.
@Blazer02LS8 жыл бұрын
Neat build, Make a wedge head for it and you could split wood ! Want to stop it from moving and deaden the noise some, cut a hole in the very bottom of each upright tube. Make a cover plate to fit over the hole and attach it with a few screws and sealer. Now do the same at the top of each tube, BUT before you put that cover on, fill the tubes with dry play sand, or if you really want it to stay put use lead shot! Might also suggest adding a simple band brake to stop it when you let off the pedal.

that hammer gets up and gets with it, it sure should flatten hot metal. if you had a seat affixed to the frame I wonder if it would not move around so much? it might not very comfortable that way though.

it looks awesome! have you done any steel with it yet? I think it may need a little more weight ...but I would have to counter it so it stays running smooth. It does good for the design. It could be heavier but overall happy with it . The weather is cool now so I am planning to use it on some more projects. Thanks kzbin.info/www/bejne/npPMk3qwi9eql9E

This is a trip hammer design hammer . The adjustable link is a Top Adjustable Link from a tractor used to connect plows. You can get them at any farm store like Tractor Supply. Good luck
