I'd bet that isn't the first time that colonel had to deal with a Karen. Military dependents are GUESTS of the military. As such they have no rank or authority and can be kicked off base at any time. Their spouses are responsible for their conduct and can even be demoted if the offense is severe enough.

When changing "HOA" to "homeowners association" you need to also change the "an" in front of HOA to "a"!

In the HOA story op says that members left the HOA only from other story’s it seems that tends not to be possible as a way of getting them of their backs and can only leave by dissolving the HOA ( something I always thought was daft and leaving should always be an option in some manner such as having to renew their contract every so often say one to five years at most )

Some have clauses or state laws that allow you to leave. It usually takes awhile. HOA usually suck so just avoid them

@@sostrucking Luckily they’re not a very common where I live asa Londoner and not even sure they exist in here heck I was born in an house that was over a hundred years old and condemned due to war damage till I was seven then got moved into council house I got in Dagenham until I got married and moved into a two two down that was nearly as old as my first house until we needed a bigger home a little further out and is at a guess about as old as I am

Most HOAs operate illegally. They can’t tell you what color to paint ANYTHING without a color chip standard or color meter reading to aim at. (Federal law) They can’t tell you what color your doors or blinds or curtains have to be. (Federal law) They can’t tell you what height your grass has to be because humps or dips make the measurement unconstitutionally vague. (Federal law) In my state they offer a class for HOA board members telling you what you can legally do and what you can’t. HOA board members are “encouraged “ to take the class. Most common HOA actions are actually illegal under federal law. Most HOA declarations include at least one unconstitutional clause, making their very existence illegal. My HOA had as its first clause in the declaration that only people of the caucasian race (white people) could live there. Maybe ok back in the 1950s when the HOA was started. Not constitutional now. Eventually I took my HOA to court and got it dissolved. The board members were really upset because they lost all power within the neighborhood. My property value took an immediate 15% jump.

The first story I heard before Word for Word except for it was gender reversed The only indicator I have that the other story would be the real one is that I heard it along time ago, but I don’t know when these posts were written. It doesn’t change the story at all, but it’s clear someone’s copy pasting stories.
