Products in video: Anker Solix C1000: amzn.to/4awF6jc Anker Power Strip: amzn.to/3yBNn88 For my @ovrlndcampers #truckcamper build I wanted a super easy way to get power to the truck bed. This would also work for #vanlife build. I didn't want to fuss with charge controllers, inverters, etc. A portable power station works super easy. The Anker Solix C1000 recharges from 0 to 100% in just under an hour from the wall power cord so I charge it up every 3-4 days in the garage. Eventually I plan to wire it up to the truck battery so it charges on the go! In another video you can see us playing on the Nintendo Switch and a laptop computer hooked up to my computer monitor in the camper. This is a great setup! That is definitely the easier way to go. I built my system from scratch, and I would 100% invest a little more and get an all in one unit like this. 👍 Love that it charges so quickly, that's cool!

Thanks for commenting as someone that has experience in this! I watched a lot of videos on doing my own setup and when showing my wife... She agreed that having something I can easily take out of the truck and use in the house in a blackout would be worth the small extra change for a all in one setup. I'll be wiring up power from the alternator soon!

@@dirtnsmores see that's another benifit. I can't exactly rip my system out of my camper and drag it in the house 😂 🤣 😂 🤣 absolutely agree, it's a great way to go. What are you going to use for your charge controller from the battery? Or do you even need one with that anker?

@@MikeBabsBC I'm either getting that little victron device that'll let me charge from the starting battery when the truck is running or the new Pecron device that does the same thing. Both around 500 watts to the power station

I want to get an Anker C1000 to power a Dometic fridge on camping trips. I read a review on Amazon for the C1000 that said if the 12V outlet doesn’t have a draw of at least 10W for an hour it shuts off. Have you experienced that? Curious if there’s validity to that. Wouldn’t want the fridge to power off if it doesn’t draw power from the Anker often enough if that’s actually a feature.

Yeah it's happened a few times to me. A way to circumvent that is to set the timer to run for the max time (23 hours 55mins). It will shut off, but you're notified on your phone app. From there I just switch it back on.

@@dirtnsmores Thank you for the response, I figured there was some kind of setting in the software you could change. I ended up buying the Ecoflow Delta 2 this morning just for the fact it was $20 cheaper on Amazon than the Anker. $579 vs $599. Both seemed comparable and I like how you can buy an extra battery for either to double the Wh for longer camping trips.
