Sitting at 99,200 currently I would say it is definitely worth it to level your party to 50 asap as the character progression tree boosts you so much more than leveling/duping weapons, also dont sleep on enhancing materia.

*I really needed this guide because I was stuck.* Every other video keeps saying "just clear story ", but this is the first time I ever heard someone mention to use *Free Party* mode to do it. Most videos keep saying to avoid wasting stamina and just clear the Weapon enhancement quests. This is the first time I heard to avoid grinding and just first-time clear everything first. This video is wrong, I just tried it. It doesn't matter what party you use to clear, every character gets the same exp. You can check EXP overview after finishing a story battle it'll show that everyone gets the same amount.

At 135,000, no purchases, and I'm telling you right now all late game is grinding. But if you log in at the right time they give you 10 stamina potions a day and 100 free crystals for ad watches which can get you 200 extra stamina per day. Also, don't neglect your chocobos and don't hesitate to buy better ones.

Unluckily it doesn´t really seem to work, I´m trying it now and i spent around 100 stamina in resetting without a single cactuar, but maybe i´m just exceptionally unlucky. Can someone confirm it works?

To my understanding, a stage has to be cleared if the Cactuar doesn't pop up on a 3x to reset the chance of appearing. So I attempt a 3x, if it doesnt appear by the time you reach the boss then retire the stage followed by either switch to a 1x run or run another lower stam stage to clear it then attempt a 3x again to see if it appears. Rinse and repeat. Ive had success before especially during the rare encounter up boost week.@@vajravarahi

Hey @SmellyOctopus, coming from someone who is at 189k group power. There is no real guide you can release on Materia. It is completely RNG based and walled by time. Sure, you can use 7 of the blue materials to guarantee 2-star Materia, and 2 of the epics to guarantee 2-star Materia, but the sub stats will still be random, the star will still be random. Then if you get a 3-star Materia when you upgrade it has a very small chance to upgrade to 4 stars but will never be able to be a 5 star. So, the only way to get a 5-star Materia is to actually just get one (I have pulled over 1000 Materia and yet to get 1) but then you have to pray the stats are very good. The next way would be to get a 4-star Materia, but the stats on it would have to be good prior to upgrade, then you would upgrade and pray it goes to 5 stars. My suggestion to the free to play would be to focus on only getting 3-star Materia at this time with good stats in all your Materia slots. A 3-star Materia with good stats will be better than any 4-star Materia or 5-star Materia. There is absolutely no huge damage change between 3 star and 5-star Materia. The RNG involved otherwise makes it near impossible for the "right" way to do Materia. An example of a good Materia would be 3 Star Fire with M. Atk% / HP% / Phys Def / Magic Def another would be Fire Blow with P. Atk% / HP% / Phys Def / Magic Def, depending on the character and R. Abilities you could sub out HP for Heal% but not suggested. Who knows maybe someone will get lucky and their 3 stars will upgrade to 4 stars. I leave you with this last.... the grind for materials to actually make Materia is extremely stamina heavy and to upgrade even worse because you need 10 crystals, and they have a low drop rate even on the highest farm stage (pray for the Cactuars for double or triple drop rate). This system needs an overall rework to be beneficial to the entire player base not just F2P. @@SmellyOctopus no doubt brother oh one more thing VERY important for the guide...Mat usage....5 epic = 2 star guar + 3 substats or 10 blue and 3 epic give the same result. Using more than those mats WILL NOT grant a better result on the materia and will be wasted 100%....my suggestion is to use 2 epic or 7 blue for 2 star guar and 2 substats for best mat management, but it will be player preference. You going to be mat starved going for 3 subs every time but have more info on if you should roll or shouldnt. Its gambling lol...

How di you get your weapons rarity so high ? I got ucky at the beginnign and got some 5 stars on draws but now i'm 5 draws dry without a single 5 star pull and 3 and 4 star give pretty much nothing when you need 200 to upgrade once (and probably more later) to a 6 star rarity with a super dilluted weapon pull. I get farming helps but i can' t really seem to target let say murasame, I got it with the guaranteed stamps and never again. You probalby did 10 times more pulls than me but even so it doesn't seem i could get weapons that high this quick.

unfortunately you can use most of your tips only once. you get the items only for the first time you complete. (cetra tower, crisis dungeon, story...) when you have completed everything, you don't get anything until you create a new level.

You don't do exp? If you get metal cactaurs you get well over 100k xp for 3x stamina. Nothing else comes close to that level of xp. And the character stream has major stat boosts locked behind level

It's a waste of stamina, exp comes from everything. You'll level up naturally and you need that stamina to farm everything else which isn't given naturally on everything you do. Even chocob farm gives character exp.
