I just noticed that I hadn't unlocked a single node on Red's Stat Stream since page 3, so that is why I had so much trouble getting his HP up, but should give anyone struggling that much more hope!! After doing the stat stream just now, my Red went from 8.8k hp to 13.4k! So, you can do it!!

Thanks for the thorough equipment breakdown! I swear everyone else just shows you the team page for half a second then goes straight to the fight. I'm constantly forgetting to manually select my sub equipment so I super appreciate you going over it. After months of playing I should know better than to trust the the auto equip but I click it every time. I was having trouble with Leviathan fights to the point I was just ignoring the guy so this really saved my butt.

Thanks to this guide I got 0 Problems with very hard. I do EX1 after I leveled Tidal Wave til level 5. Maybe the easiest summon fight so far? But I like it! This time defense is necessary and not just a dps race.

Thanks so much! I couldn't beat this when it came out. Figured I'd be able to now but nope. Had to do it on auto because there is way too much going on for me to keep up with but I did basically the same build and finally cleared it.

This was really great, man. Had to workshop some things out cause i dont have red built at all, but did it with Zack instead of Red after a couple tries. Wasnt as clean as yours tho xD But thanks nevertheless, I guess the high thunder imperil is the great denominator in this fight, hope they release another one soon! Thanks again!

Thanks nite was able to clear on auto vh2 and vh3! Instead of going physical on red, I went magical because of sephi anni weapon. Still worked. My cloud was not ob10 but my stats were similar to yours and was able to clear.

hi, thank you, your guide helped me beat the fight. your team comp didn’t work exactly for me because i’m so weak on lightning (no arcanum, only OB4 murasame) so after some trial and error i swapped out Red for Tifa with tiger fangs and a thundara blow for damage, and got ‘er done.

I still do not have a thunder resist down weapon. It is very coveted. I feel like Zack's twinkling star was made for Leviathan.

i noticed the leviathan targets your aerith with attacks in the very beginning, but in all my 10+ attempts, leviathan exclusively targets my cloud with every single hit, to the point where i cant even heal him back up. my 10k+ hp cloud goes down to sub-1k hp within the first 15 seconds of the fight.... does leviathan target the party member with the lowest mdef or something? cuz if he does, im screwed cuz i cannot afford to add MDEF to cloud without severely nerfing his damage 😡😡

I was under the belief that it was lowest HP party member who gets targeted. It's 100% not lowest mdef bc my aerith had my highest mdef and lowest hp
