I like this depiction of the relationship between Custodes and Astartes better than the one depicted in that first story where the custodes start killing primaris. It shows that the customer Harbour lasting bitterness against the astartes and it colours their actions. It actually makes the custodes slightly more human.

Awesome as always. The custodes story vs the knights of Solemnia was a bit weird though. They aren't supposed to be so pride full and it is a universe with precognition. You really don't need any traitors in your ranks or spies to be ambushed. Although i might have missed something.

I think the Emperor still has a good approval rating because hes just as flawed as we are. Emotional or lacking it and the wrong times... starting off as a naive idealist full of arrogance and bravado, then LIFE itself humbles you, and you learn suffering, you learn that before we can have philosophers and artists... we cant forget that in the beginning, those who could take what they wanted using brute force...
