That storm layer became a supercell once it entered New Jersey. I got it on video. Tornado warnings were issued for Middlesex, Union, Somerset, and Morris counties. However, no tornado actually occurred or touched down that night. It was a very impressive storm.

Hell was being unleashed right behind that shade, and the only thing separating you from hell outside is said bedroom window shade.

Over the years, I lost one TV and a PC due to excess voltage caused by close lightning strikes. One of them was not even turned on, just the plug was still in the socket. That won't happen to me one more time, if it's possible to prevent it.

Awesome. I caught 13 EAS alerts that day (4 EAS alerts early that morning alone). I got a few episodes of thunder that day, but no rain or lightning. Just thunder.

Great video! I guess this was in Alabama? I have been interested in meteorology for many years. I have plenty of experiences with the Florida thunderstorms which I find quite scary! I am a blind person and I like listening to these types of videos.

Thanks! This was in Pennsylvania, but I could see the confusion with the whole Montgomery thing. Happy you like the video! 😊

@@montcopaWx Interesting. Yeah, I also study meteorology in my free time too. I’ve heard that thunderstorms in the northeast US usually occur about once a week? In Florida they happen nearly everyday and are usually associated with powerful sea breeze fronts, as opposed to the northeast where thunderstorms are usually associated with synoptic scale forcing such as the passage of cold fronts.

@@MrStundon1 We’ve been pretty dry recently but I do remember back to early april, every saturday we had something for the whole month. You guys are lucky to get all those storms, I haven’t seen much in the past month.

@@montcopaWx Interesting. So I’m actually not from the US but I use to vacation a lot in Florida, especially around the Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach area. We use to have a condo there but sold it in 2019. And just out of curiosity, I only recognize people by their voices but, are you a college student?
