@@PoppinPsinceAD33 Remeber the mall was being funded mainly by the Russians and they for the most part left Hawkins at the end of Season Three. So maybe if it was picked up by another company it stayed open but probably not.

@Quinzerrak follow the road going diagonal from the mall to those lights. thats the town center. you cant see the star court mall in the gate scene because the camera is looking too low. Other notable locations you can see in this scene aside from the mall and downtown, is as the highschool field lights (behind the town center from the camera) Hawkins Lab far in the background, you can see Lovers lake too. the neighbor hood Mike, Dustin and Lucas live in is very easy to find since they live close to the powerlines which are confirmed to run from the power plant (behind the camera) , through town and past lover's lake. (which is at the far back of the panning shot, you can see the moonlight reflection from it)

Damn this is the best season in my opinion 1: the mind flayer and billy plays a bigger role than in s2 2: the vfx effects are stunning 3: it re-introduced the Demogorgon 4:idk lol No wonder it took 1 and a half years to produce

The demogorgon never appeared in season 3...and all of those other things can apply to most seasons. Edit: Have no idea why I assumed this was spam, most likely because it has been happening in the past (regarding Stranger Things content), and I didn't remember the Demogorgon reintroduction. I agree with you!

@@thisissupposedtobeanonymous if you want actual good reasons. Then here they are 1. The 80s summer vibe That's all you need. It's really hard to explain why it makes it so good. But in short, when you think of the 80s. You think of cool outfits, movies and cool stuff in general. And this season captures the 80s the most. While showing the bad in it aswell with Mall culture killing the downtown of Hawkins
