Power Pole Maintenance

I spent the better part of the day with Chris McLain at Classic Fiberglass in Sanger last week while it was sleeting outside. We covered a wide range of things including Power Pole Maintenance, fixing a Power Pole remote that is not responding or working, and more things we can be doing to our boats to get ready for the spring fishing season while it's too cold to go outside right now and actually fish. Thanks Ken. Because of your video, I looked closer at mine. Sure enough, bushings were bad. Power pole sent me everything to rebuild them for free. Rebuilt them and they are solid now. Thanks!

Ken this is great video. What if pumps aren’t making much noise but the poles have gotten very sluggish? Like battery drained, but mine are hooked to big battery and it’s new and runs w the engine.

Check your fluid levels, if they are older you might also consider replacing the fluid with new stuff

Ken , Thank you for great videos. I have had two boats with Power Poles and now on my current boat have switched to Raptors. I’m very pleased with Raptor sturdiness design. I switch from Power Pole to Raptor because I got tired of maintenance which I consider a design flaw, Power Poles wobble too much so I switch to Raptor to get away from Power Pole wobble. Again Ken , thank for the work you do. I’m always looking for better products.

Ken, the power poles should have a on/off switch to keep the poles from deploying when not wanted

Good video. Should mention remote battery replacement. If they get low poles get intermittent or quit working especially when cold. Uses CR2032 and having a few extras is good insurance.

Hey Ken thx for all you do as it really helps us keep informed and in the know !! Real quick it sounded to me that , that nice fella said or advised that you have to download an app to put the unit or C- Monster to sleep . If I'm not mistaken you can do that with any one of your control devices . And that would be to hold both up and down at same time for a period of 5 seconds or so . Not 100% sure on length of time but it's fairly quickly as you could imagine . I'm 99.9% for sure I'm telling you and the good people that view your channel correctly . Again Thx for all you do and if your not careful your gonna turn this You Tube deal into a job lol And well there goes your time on the water lol . I have said several times in various venues that "power pole covers are NOT just a vanity thing." When would you want to put only one pole down? How about if one starts to give you an issue, and you want to just leave that one up for the day out on the water?
