Really wish I would have bought the Power Queens. I ended up getting two of the Renogy 200ah, and they just don't perform. I have to shut down when the sun goes down, before that, actually! Sometimes, a deal just isn't! Lol, going with Power Queens moving forward.

The Renogy uses a crappy BMS, over 6 CCR, so they waste lots of incoming charge. The power queen, you seen it, 1.17 CCR Current Collecting Ratio on them. Be sure to get the Plus, and up your solar too so you get full ability.

Renogy's solar chargers are made by SRNE , HQST's are made by Helios. There's nothing wrong with that, it's pretty common for the retailer to go hunting overseas for an off the shelf product that meets their requirements. All this stuff can usually be had for less by buying direct but then you don't get any local warranty etc so that has to be taken into consideration. The lower price comes from not dealing with the middle-man brand and their markup but also because stuff individually shipped out of China takes unfair advantage of international concessions granted to 'developing' countries while the middle-man brand has to pay full fare on their 500 unit purchase. Yes, China on one hand says it's a developed country that has solved poverty, yet on the other it's quite happy to accept concessions and international welfare. Bit of a double standard there but perhaps better discussed elsewhere.

We bought 2 of the 100ah power queen batteries and the 30a power queen mppt charge controller for our set up. We have 410w solar to 2 charge controllers. Both 30a mppt charge controllers... The power queen set up replaced 4 115ah AGM batteries and a harbor freight pwm charge controller. We have been running this 24/7 the last few months and have loved having these new batteries.

Yes, the REDODO are weird batteries, a odd power curve, but it does make them stay on high volts till the last 20%. @@hellandbackhoe The relays in it are loaded relays, point on point to NO on the incoming lines and NC on the outgoing line. A fail is possible, but it would require 2 at a time to fail to make a dual connection since the return side NO is the line one utility it would fail one sided only. Using a set of smart breakers with this rated at 20 amps solves any issues.

I hope someone can help me here. Yesterday I finally got my solar system in order. I got my new battery, Power Queen lithium 12V 300Ah, and it took 15h to get it fully charged and ready. My system is composed of 5x 150Wp solar panels, 3 in parallel to an EpEver Tracer mppt, and 2 other in parallel to an identical mppt. Each come in to their mppt via a 30A automatic fuse. The output of both mppt come together on a bus bar and go from there to the battery and also to a 2500W converter to 12to220V. I have a battery switch on the plus from the battery to the bus bar. Both mppt are set for Lithium. My battery has a 200A BMS with under/over voltage protection. The converter also has protection for over voltage. Over voltage of the BMS is 15V, over voltage of the converter is also fix set at 15V and the mppt is standard 14,8V as over voltage. Now my problem ... The converter goes regularly in over voltage alarm and sometimes total shut off. When a regular alarm occurs the system is shut off for a few seconds, but sometimes it goes into error and then the system shuts off and only can be turned on again by physically turn off the switch on the converter, wait about 30sec and put to switch back to on. But even with a regular alarm, buzzer, the system turns off for a few seconds, meaning that it can be a dangerous situation ... when my pellet stove is on and is cut off when enough pellets are burning, there is no fan for exhaust and I already found myself inside a room full of smoke and fire alarm yelling. Also each time my router turns off and needs to go to a boot up sequence, meaning my internet in down for about 7min. Etc. ... What can I do to make that the voltage stays below the over voltage value ? I first was thinking to put the Victron battery protect module but that would be an overkill and would not help as it would shut down my system as well. Plus I already have protection for over voltage due to the BMS and the converter protections. I had the Juntec battery monitor, 2023 model, but need to return it as it doesn't work, not on my Samsung tablet nor on my iPhone. I ordered the Victron smart shunt and hope to install it tomorrow.

You need to manually set your charge controllers. The problem is the power inverter is seeing the release spike in high setting when the BMS hits disconnect and then it is faulting, and recording a fault, and reacting to that fault in any similar draw/input. Remove the 2500 watt inverter from power, turn it on to drain capacitors in it and clear its faults. Set manually the Controllers to Change top charge to the battery to (MPPT 1) set to 14.2 volts ( MPPT 2 ) set to 14.3 to 14.4 volts, Set both to not bulk charge, set float at 13.4 volts on both. Reconnect inverter using safe method as seen in my videos, then switch it on. *Never charge the LiFePO4 to 100%* it will shorten their lives by 20% or more. Ignore everything they tell you about 0 to 100 to 0% on LiFePO4 Batteries. We charge to 95% max, discharge to 15% minimum and never have this issue and will double the life of your batteries. I suggest adding another battery with a same 200Amp output, you can and really should add a power queen plus 200ah with 200a BMS to your 300ah shrsl.com/40cj2 you have with no issue, as long as the BMS is the same, those are. Be sure your using 1 awg cables on your inverter or equal and your battery has at least 1 or 1/0 awg cables.

@Јоhn Daniel , Hi, I bought the EpEver Bluetooth module to be able to change settings of the mppt, but it doesn't work. I had several communications email with the tech department at EpEver to try to resolve the problem but without any luck :-( So for now I'm stuck with the pre program for Lipo4 being OVdisconect at 14,8, charging limit at 14,6, OV reconnect at 14,6 Equalize at 14,5 Boost 14,5 Float 13,8 Boost reconnect 13,2 Low reconnect 12,8 Under reconnect 12,2 Under Warning 12,0 Low Disconnect 11,1 Discharge limit 11,0

You have to manually set and save each one independently. NO Equalize, No boost, Float at the batteries standing voltage of 13.3 to 13.4. Low reconnect and float both at 13.3 or 13.4 is preferred. The rest is fine. The problem is when the BMS shuts off charge, it will not reactivate till under 13.5 volts. Until then the MPPT is outputting 15+ volts searching for a battery.

If your going with a 24 volt system, I would just use the 24 volt battery, but in my experience the 12 volt battery has much heavier cables inside so I personally would go the 2 - 12 volt series into 24 volt. ( best thing is 6 of the 12volt 100ah, HUGE PRICE CUT amzn.to/3stVKQh ) It also allows me to convert back down to 12 volt easier if materials and components need to be replaced in a SHTF system fail scenario if your able to convert down, because you can find 12 volt stuff from Walmart, truck stops, and even garage sales if your in a hurt to keep a system running in a crisis. The 24 volt and higher DC items will be hard to get at that point. So, conclusion. 2 of the 12 volt 200AH or as I show up top, 6 of the 100AH which is about same price, for your build but gives you 300ah @ 24v or 600ah at 12v. And NO, you are not limited to 4 in parallel, They are not updating to represent newer BMS in them. So you can go up to 8 parallel @ 12 volt, no issues, Just cable all 8 with 4 awg Temco WC for 800 ah or do 4 if you like x 2 for 24 volt at 400ah and use 6 awg welding cable on that build.

I have two 100ah li-time/amperetime batteries and they are pretty decent. I ordered some raw cells from expert power direct. They seem to be a respectable company with pretty good reviews on lots of products but I couldn't find much info about the raw cells. Fingers crossed I won't be kicked myself in the rear for that impulse buy lolololololololol!!!!
