About female Green Ranger ripping off her skirt, I love that they made Izzy a girl when her Sentai counterpart was male in Ryusoulger. I think her ripping off her skirt was done so they could use Sentai footage because for obvious reasons, Ryusoul Green's suit didn't have a skirt. As for her being a lesbian, I certainly welcome this news! I was wondering when we'd ever see an LGBTQ+ Ranger! It really isn't hard to believe Izzy is a lesbian since she seemed to be more on the tomboyish side after she ripped off her skirt though.

And even before the episode released it show us what people only cared about. Best one liners? I wouldn't say that. Like pr it is impossible to have a good one. It does be a miracle when they do. @@GeekLevelAsian Now I’m not one of those people who are complaining about this or one of those people who are in this cancel culture, but if they wanted to make Izzy LGBT, that’s fine, but the show needs to develop its characters from the beginning and to this day, I have yet to care about any of the rangers aside from Zayto, and I have yet to care about Izzy since she’s in my opinion, my least favorite in the team. I’m not going to dive into the whole skirt thing, but the show doesn’t give me a reason to root for Izzy and this just shows up out of nowhere without any sort of character development. Also I highly doubt that Void Knight is Amelia’s father since it’s inevitable that it could be tied to Zayto and possibly Aiyon’s storyline since Void Knight doesn’t have those antennas like Zayto has. Also you forgot the two Solar Rangers from the Beyond the Grid comic, Ellarien and Remi, who are also LGBT rangers. BTW, any thoughts on the Power Rangers Unlimited Edge of Darkness comic? It’s the one that focuses on the Phantom Ranger.

The only one that needs some more is Javi. All the others r good. Second Izzy is an amazing character (she’s actually a fan favorite if u didn’t know and this was within the first episode she was introduced before it was confirmed she’s lgbt) and she’s one of my new favorites (maybe my favorite out of all the teams). The whole skirt thing was to show off her personality. I absolutely loved the skirt thing. They could’ve just made it where their just wasn’t a skirt in the first place but what they did is so much better cause it tells a lot about Izzy’s personality (which is what your complaining about might I add). I started watching this show because of her character cause I saw some of my friends watching it and saw she was a green ranger and flipped out about that (first female green ranger which is awesome) and then one of my friends told me about the skirt thing and just said I love it and started watching the show myself. And then I end up finding out she’s lgbt as well and they r actually doing something with it? God talk about cherry on top. Thirdly they meant first lgbt ranger in the show (or at least the first one they r actually doing something with). So we’re not talking about the comics. Also the actor who played Riley in Dino Charge said he was portraying the character as gay. Becky G’s character in the 2017 movie is also but they didn’t really do anything with these 2 sadly. Basically they broke down so many walls with Izzy which is awesome (being the first lgbt ranger and have it be actually shown, first female green ranger, and the first female ranger to not wear a skirt). This character is awesome I don’t understand all this hate u have for her she’s awesome. U don’t have to like her but hating her as much as u do is kinda unnecessary (especially for the reason for hating her is not enough character development which is not the case).

She isn't the first though. She's the first on t.v sure, but the honor for first in the franchise goes to Trini from the reboot movie. On top of that, there's Elarian and Remi, the two solar rangers from the comics who are in a lesbian relationship. There are also a ton of people who swear up and down that the Beyond the Grid comic arc was shipping Cam and Heckyl but, I don't know about that.

I love that Rangers finally has an confirmed LGBTQ+ Ranger. 2017 Movie Trini dipped a toe in these waters but not in any way that couldn't be construed as something else or couldn't edited out of the movie for international releases. I will also note we have the Violet and Orange Solar Rangers who are a couple in the comics, but Dino Fury is part of the franchise's Flagship. Can't wait to see this episode when it's released in the US. I already really liked Izzy as a character, because she uses a Sabertooth Tiger like my favorite Ranger, Thuy Trang's Trini, so her also being apart of the LGBTQ+ community is just another really special connection for me.

as a member of the lgbt community, this is great news. after catching up on some of the older series, but i decided to finally catch up with dino fury. it was an amazing surprise to see someone like me in a show that ive basically grown up with (or at least semi-payed attention to as my older brother watched when i was little). im glad someone like her is the first, and i hope shes not the last. i would love to see them experiment with transgender characters. seeing them give characters genders outside the binary would also be great to see. i would really love to see a masculine pink ranger sometime, but thats wishful thinking. either way, im happy with the decision.

If Dino Fury aired in Indonesia with Indonesia Dubbing, the result make all parents & child guardians in "Fury" because Izzy x Fern's relationships. It's because a "Mindset" about Tokusatsu/Power Rangers: "A Power Rangers still for children TV Show/as Family Friendly" (Indonesia have a strong dislike/inaccepting LGBTQ+ Community + considering "tainting" all youngest generation's mind for that (which meaning violating a rules from Indonesia). Inclusion is great and all but this show is def targeted towards kids and I don’t think it was the space for this kind of character. I don’t think it’s something young kids should be exposed to over the fun fighting and story power rangers never really needed any of that it just was what it was imo. There’s alot of real world things that never make into the show so I don’t see why this particular thing had to be in there.

I don't love the Void Knight reveal. It makes Amelia's involvement with the Rangers kinda too convenient. I guess if the keys or the Morphin Masters choose them, it makes sense but I'd rather them not be connected this way. It'd be cooler if she empathized with Void Knight's situation rather than be his daughter.

I’m not one to care about representation or anything and sometimes find it quite annoying. This didn’t bother me that much because not as much attention is brought to it and I think that’s how it should be done, as throwing it in our faces and constantly bringing it up as part of her character can come off as pandering, so I think this way was a good compromise. Izzy was definitely one of my favorite characters this season before the reveal cause she’s just a “tell it as it is” character and those are my favorite characters in most of the movies/shows I watch and her and Javi’s sibling relationship is one of my favorites of the entire show. Also, anyone else find that Ollie’s stubbornness to accept that technology isn’t everything kinda annoying? Just wanted to get that off my chest and couldn’t find a better place. EDIT: I also didn’t know that Trini in the 2017 movie was queer, so either I didn’t pick up on it (I was otherwise busy not liking the film in general), or it’s such a minor point that it might as well have not been there at all. I accept your hateful comments for this anecdote.

Homosexuality can’t be “forced” on anyone. No one can “make” you gay. Actor David Yost was open how he went through conversion therapy and it was traumatic for him…trying to be brainwashed into being straight. In the end, it doesn’t work. Straight relationships were shown to us in the first season of Power Rangers with Kimberly and Tommy. Is that forcing Heterosexuality on us when I was 7? No. Just like this character being gay isn’t forcing homosexuality on children now. So what is the difference? It seems that the difference is that you’re comfortable with straight relationships and not gay ones.

You could just not watch the show.
