It’s amazing how much better the new helmet looks. Seeing them next to each other it further highlights just how bad the original Red Ranger helmet looks.

That's what I said when the first wave came out, "as crazy as it sounds, when we look back on these, these'll be the bad ones". we already got a corrected Zedd, and god knows they have a corrected white ranger in the chamber right now

They did use the blade blasters! They used them to get into the Shogun Megazord which was covered in rust.

I got mine today. Since I have the Aisha two pack, kat two pack, and multiple Zacks, I am ordering double of metallic red and blue. I am making solid color variations of the metallic rangers (solid color bodies and metallic ranger heads for red, blue and black/ pink and yellow with 2-pack heads). Hopefully they will look good when I am done.

When I was a kid watching the show. When Zordon mentioned new costumes, I was so hoping that would be the transition into the Dairanger costumes. I was so disappointed to see the metallic suites. That was a missed opportunity.

idk, back in the day i was a dumb little mark and didn't know about japan sentai series until dino thunder came out, i was just thankful my figures from 93 got a little bit more mileage

The zeo blue head is the ugliest, worst looking head for a lightning collection figure It’s like they told someone draw rocky from memory without looking at him at all, and then sculpt him Hasbro: draw rocky from memory ok good, now sculpt him Artist: ok how does it look? Hasbro: ( looks at a picture of rocky) (looks at the plans for the metallic figures) great!, now look at a picture of him and sculpt that too That’s called double dipping son

Metallic Pink was the fantastic figure, best Kat headsculpt so far, and a better MMPR Pink release than the awful Wave 2 one. These figures are good, no complaints, but I wouldn't recommend them to those who already have the original versions... unless you're good with the prices; about 30 USD each.

The new Red Ranger helmet looks a lot better. They could always release a single Red Ranger release with the shield and have the new helmet sculpt.

I have Kat in the box sans one of two times I took her out. So that plastic isn't discoloring. Shame they didn't wait has they updated pinks helmet/body slightly like they've done the others in the upcoming two(three?) releases. We haven't had a proper MMPR Red Helmet with the "premium" figs in a long time as Bandai Legacy Red was worse. The question is will we get a regular MMPR Red helmet without needing buy another MMPR Red? I give Hasbro props for the corrections but given how old this line is, why didn't they get it right the first time? Personally I kinda prefer the metallic red's body over the original. The sheen just pops more.

I feel like there will be some bad consistency issues with the cell shaded figures if they all come out instead of just pink

As long as they just the same blue highlight and lighting direction, they should be fine. I'm more concerned with all the paint apps because Hasbro has difficulty painting visors much less a whole body.
