Do your stores actually have things...? I order everything online either way, so I never get to check the figure either way. Some waves I've never seen in a store, others show up months later. I had an In Space Blue that had a terrible visor, I sent that back. That was really the worst I've had so far. And my Ptera Freeze was missing a wing, but again, it was easy to make it right.

Gaoranger vs Timeranger would be cool, but unfortunately, Timeranger doesn’t really have a villain that could come back and be the main villain of the team up since the two main bad guys, Gien and Donero, both died so sadly can’t bring them back and the only one that didn’t die, Lila, wasn’t really evil and didn’t really hate the Timerangers, just was annoyed in episodes for ruining her shopping. So yeah don’t really have a good reason for the 4 Timerangers coming back to 2001 for a team up. And also Time Fire died so there really isn’t anyone for GaoSilver to team up with so the team up would need to be before his debut

I’m always a fan of using water to heat up figures as I feel like it’s a little safer than using the hair dryer

I'd say whatever works. A heat gun will likely damage your figure, I don't want to give advice, maybe someone has a killer hair dryer, but I've never damaged a figure with a hair dryer, I'm not sure it's even possible. And many of them even have settings, if you're concerned about the highest heat. But these are meant to be used on the human head, they shouldn't be getting hot enough to melt plastic.

@@agiammarco94 Really? With a hair dryer? You're sure it wasn't a heat gun? They look the same but two very different things. Looks like hair dryers can be around 80 degrees with some getting as hot as 140. That seems kind of extreme, I don't think any of mine get that hot (but they also have settings). But even so, plastic starts melting between 320 - 410 degrees. So... no hair dryer *should* be doing damage, but, if it seems like you have one that gets way too hot, then I'd either not use it, or just use it for a short time. People do use heat guns, which I don't recommend, but if you don't leave it on too long, even that will be okay.

I appreciate hasbro trying on power rangers. Things like accessories and civilian heads are getting better. They're trying. And I get that not everything can be painted. I just wish they would be consistent about how each team is painted. Like, if you're going to use silver paint on the zeo helmet outlines, do them ALL in silver. I care more about consistency than 100% screen accuracy if that makes sense.

Thanks for the advice with the hairdryer tip again Bruno, ( I’ve only had to use it once but I’ll keep it in mind if I need it again in the future) trivia answers are: time force: I’m sorry Bruno but I just couldn’t get into time force, Dino thunder: one of the songs Kira sang is freak you out bonus song is true love ( still waiting for a Spotify release of her songs too) lost galaxy: the keonta spell: “a thousand nightmares will soon come true, space will twist then rip in two, reality ends and time is tossed, when galaxies found become galaxies lost!” ( I’m not doing the spell words for it) wild force: the spear of pardonius is a giraffe and mmpr: false ps Bruno you never told us that you were really the Triassic ranger ( that explains your crush on it) and I’d definitely want zeltrax as a figure too ( kind of wish he was in a two pack with Dino thunder black though) and I tried with some of the trivia answers. And I don’t think I’ll stay away from asteroid gems either ( unless there’s a mutant dinosaur scientist after me then I’ll stay away from them)

The real issue is that there is a combination of poor QC and windowless packaging. If they had poor QC, but you could at least see it before you buy, then at least you can know what you are getting before you buy it. If you had windowless packaging, but good QC then at least you can buy without worrying. But both bad QC and windowless packages? That just means people are gambling with what they buy, but no one wants to buy a figure and worry that they will need to return it.

I don't know what to tell those people. I think the figures are incredible. I want them for my collection. If one of them is messed up, then I'll get a free replacement. I've certainly dealt with worse things in my life than that. It's an action figure. It costs me nothing to get a new one. If the figure is going to break, you can't see that in the window packaging and I imagine I'm not the only person who orders online. My stores almost never have anything on shelves. So, seeing the thing in the box really isn't an option for me either way. The hairdryer will save your figures from snapping in most cases, other QC issues can be returns/replacements. I have to hope these things will eventually get fixed, but maybe for some people they've reached the end of their collecting, which is okay too. We only have so many options here.

Best rule of thumb is if it's not moving and it should, heat up the plastic, because if you force it more than likely it will break. My preferred method: I boil water, pour it into a bowl, and let my figure sit in the hot water for about a minute I do this with almost every figure I buy and then work the plastic in every possible pose to "break it in". Cold plastic is more fragile than people realize and some adult collectors are ham handed with their figures.

I think people will always find things to complain about, like how even though we have a show accurate Power Morpher that has die cast coins that each offer their rangers individual morphing call, because it’s lighter than the legacy morpher( which it being lighter is more practical for cosplay.) they say it feels cheap. I honestly believe people will always complain about power rangers/Sentai toys regardless of their actual quality. Some of the worst shows and toy lines still have good qualities. There are things I love about the Lightning Collection line and there are things I dislike about it. For example I adore my Lord Zedd helmet because of it’s chrome silver paint job, it has a really cool rubber brain with good paint apps and it’s actually big enough to fit my noggin, which is something I’ve always had trouble with regarding helmets but because of the electronics it’s a little front heavy so it’s not necessarily ideal for cosplay, That still doesn’t automatically make it bad. Every toy line has QC issues, just like how a brand new car can have a flaw in its design or a video game can have glitches at launch. At the end of the day the products we interact with have both good and bad qualities.

It definitely feels like there are more people in the fandom these days who look for reasons to be unhappy, and that always makes me wonder why they stay if everything is making them upset or angry. And again, I'm not saying people should be happy to have their figures arrive broken, but many fans were already angry long before that was even a thing. It's crazy to look at this show and see it's going into its 30th season. How many shows last for 30 years and counting? And to go with it, we're getting the most screen accurate figures ever made, from literally every season, as well as morphers, weapons, Zords, helmets... it's pretty insane. I can appreciate that (and still be annoyed at the things that aren't right). I kinda feel badly for the people who have such unreasonable expectations, they will never be happy. There are a lot of good things here too.

I've seen it outside Power Rangers since... 2007 or so. Arguably joints are bound to loosen eventually. I have figures that are a decade old that have loosened over time; and some that are still tight. I have brand new figures that are loose; and ones that are tight. I even have a modern production of an 80s toy, and one of the joints has loosened already. _And I thought the costume was pretty flippin good._

Never noticed the leg issues with Lucas of course I'm not going to mess with the legs until he goes on the bike. Speaking of Stingwingers and Swabbies how many would everyone buy among all foot soldiers for army builder purposes? Here's my answer for that. I wanted 3 of the 2-pack Putties but only got 2 so if we get the rocky forms and the Super Putties then I'll go with probably 2 of each. Happy with my 6 Z=Putties, 6 Tengas and 7 Cogs. I'd get 2 Quadrafighters if released maybe 3. Putrid Pods, Piranhatrons, Chromites so for me that's 2 each plus 1 Chromite for each color it had. Quantrons and Craterites likely 3 each. See Quadrafighters if we get the Vfighter. Stingwingers and Swabbies like 3 each. Batlings probably 3. Cyclobots 4 at least, Putrids and Kelzaks and Kelzak Furies at least 2 each. Tyrannodrones 4, Triptoids 2. Krybots 2, Blueheads 1-2, Orangeheads 4. Hideaks and Styxoids 1 or 2. Chillers and Lava Lizards likely just 2. Rinshi and Grinders 6. Moogers and Loogies 2. X-Borgs 2, Bruisers 1-2, Kingsmen/Royal Guard about 4. lol with the Triassic Ranger stuff but you aren't wrong that it's a cool suit design, the Go Go Gadget Battlizer that power-up got however was IMO the most horrible power-up ever except for probably the Metallic Armor.

Even the old Dino Megazord would have the clips on the Pterodactyl break off and for years I would just tape it on for the megazord mode and it was just fine for me. It sucks but things just happen. Now it broken right out of or in box is not acceptable but there are fixes. If you don't like it then just don't buy it.

Strange enough, I’ve collected sh figuarts for years. I’ve had a few breaks; glue sometimes saved the day. But never a major break, or wrist snapping thankfully. I actually sold my Kyoryuger figuarts, fearing breaking them down the line with the replaceable arms. Never once did break on me, and I actually regret selling them. Sigh… oh well. I actually see prices of lightning collection, and while you can get more figures for your buck, I like lightning collection better for quality and accuracy (usually) to the shows. For lightning I just see the $24 adding up so quickly!!! And they come out frequently - where buying figuarts is much more spaced apart for me. For that reason I’m mostly into figuarts

Great Rant Bruno. I'm with you. The one thing i will say about MMPR Adam is it does have an improvement on the helmet and the white on the boots, gloves, triangles seems much brighter and vibrant of a white vs the "creamy" yellowish white in the 1st bunch. I will use him to complete my "Once a Ranger" team from OO once we get Xander and Tori ... eventually.... maybe. Although I will also concede if you planned on these "Remastered" MMPR why do Adam now??

The QC issues wouldn't be that big of a deal if Hasbro wasn't experiencing them across ALL their lines, after jacking up the prices no less. Marvel Legends is the biggest offender right now, not getting a lot of consistent quality for the prices they're charging.

my time force blue has the same leg issue. that said, i feel like its the type of material and direction hasbro decided to take with these new butterfly joints for their latest figures. i mean i could be wrong since the other rangers from the same wave doesn't seem to have it and its probably just shoddy assembly work.

There are tons of videos on both channels regarding boxes, that's something I've talked about quite a bit, with all of the cross-country moving, floods, storage, etc. I've thrown out a lot of more recent American boxes, I keep most of the Japanese boxes. They take up a ton of space in my basement & garage, and I'm still trying to figure out what to do with all of them. They do take up a ton of space.
