Power Rangers Movie of 2017 was a box office failure and after Liongsgate got eOne we don't know if they will make a sequel to this movie. In this video we are going to give you the options that this company has to maybe create another Power Rangers movie. We will analyze the advantages and risks of creating a new project or maybe ignoring it.
Power Rangers is an American television series and franchise of the tokusatsu genre, version of Super Sentai Series, a Japanese television series of the same genre. It has been broadcast since 1993. From 2002 to 2009, the franchise was owned by The Walt Disney Company, but was reacquired in 2010 by Haim Saban, its creator and original driving force between Mighty Morphin and Wild Force (the latter created early in production before the sale of Saban Entertainment to Disney). On May 1, 2018, it was confirmed that the franchise was bought by Hasbro.

I loved the design of the suits and zords, morphers, and power coins I admit the story could have been a little better but it wasn't bad in my opinion. I also loved the cameo of JDF, rest in Peace, and the actor of Kimberly, plus the mega zord hit different in my opinion.

It was Amy Jo Johnson, My only urk with the new movie was the Megazord and the story, they should have kept it with some of the original storyline but kept the new suits and Zords, the Megazord just looked so stupid, they should've kept the Megazord the same way as the original design but make it also like the new one to, what I mean if they were to take the old Megazord design and give it a newer out look.

I liked this movie, me and my kids loved it. What I wouldve done was incorporate a few of the original MMPR cast into the story as minor characters. Like having the OG Black Ranger/Zack play Modern Billy's uncle and the High School's PE teacher, The OG Blue Ranger/ Billy as a Science/English teacher. Skull and Bulk as Police Officers and the fathers/Uncles of the modern day bully's let them have cameos, and write it in a way to where its not taking away from the plot of the movie. Have Modern Jason's friend more involved in the story, he disappeared after they got trouble. He shouldve been in detention with them, or did I miss something? Im not saying he shouldve been a PR, I would keep most of the movie the same including the PR. I would like to see his reaction to his friend/Quarterback as red ranger, or his reaction to him hanging around Billy, Kim, and the other PR. For the Sequel, I would like to see a Martial Arts tournament, the PR take an interest into Martial Arts, Karate, Kung Fu, etc and see them meet Tommy Oliver for the first time as hinted at, at the end of the last film. I would like OG Jason mentor Modern Jason and the rest of the PR. Balance the fan service without taking away too much from the plot.

left a whole comment on it the main issue with the movie was (quick run down) they took to long to get to the action ppl wanted to see a power rangers we spent a whole hour and a half waiting to see billy morph for 10 seconds if even then another half our later we finally see everyone morph for the last 20 minutes of the film i get they wanted a build up vibe for the movie and wanted like emotional back grounds for the audience to sorta connect to each character in their own way but power rangers you go to the shows and shit click on any episode and per 20-40 minute episodes you get to see the rangers morph 20 different times fight the bad guys on like 3-4 different occasions before they finally win blow the mf up and walkaway like an explosion like that wouldn't have a blast radius capable of throwing you to the ground with enough force to shatter half you bones they treated the 2 hour and 30 minute film as an elongated pilot episode with hella good cgi better scripts and less cringe where as yes the cgi fantastic THE ARMOR AMAZING WE ACTUALY WANTED TO FKN SEE IT THO and god power rangers without the cringe dont seem right cus yk its not what we grew up with but its def fits the tone i mean your superhero's with enough tech and equipment to bring the world to its knees if yk what you were doing and played your cards right not a team of walking fucking jokes to laugh at cus they say stupid shit to each other mid fight so i liked the more mature and serious take on it they just took to long to get to the point

They can keep JDF and OG Kimmy at the end. Even Han OG Jason play a role in the sequel. Have them taking up Martial arts classes. Have OG Zack, as Billy's uncle, try to teach him some dance moves, but Billy's more interested in Science. He asks him what he's got, Billy shows him "The Algebra" But yeah, point being fan service without taking away from the plot. Having JDF and OG Kimberly was great. Just looking at how to make it even better. Me personally, I would've had Zedd make a Cameo in the first film, but still have Rita as the Main Villain. I would've had Rito make an appearance as well. The one thing that threw me off ws the suits. We all know the rangers get their abilitis from the morpher but with those suits, it made it seem like they were more robots than humans in costumes. Meaning the suits made them feel more like ironman rather than super soldiers in a costume

They didn't do a good enough job at marketing and making people understand what's going on. I enjoyed this movie

Where so much time has past, they should make a time force movie, where the time force rangers, come back in time, to help the zero rangers stop a threat, that way they can recast every one, so it'll feel like a reboot, or just make a complete reboot, and keep it original to the first season

I think where they went wrong is that it targeted Adults more and excluded young kids/early teens which is Ironic really as PR is intended for that generation. They could of found a Happy balance between both. I didn't mind the slow burn coming of age thing personally. (Felt abit Batman Begins to me, but with multiple characters). But I get why some didn't like it. Saying all that, I'd still Love to see a soft reboot of some sort that incorporates enough for all to enjoy.

There needs to be another movie and shows that can be made we have the dawn of a new era i am a writer and actor i also teach martial arts as well. When I first saw the power rangers as a young man I was intrigued by how well it was done and the actors were inspiring. Through every episode and season that was done there was always a moral behind each episode always something you could take from it and apply to our daily lives that we tend to forget. This generation needs it More than ever because they need inspiration somehow and encouragement to have perseverance and motivation. To better oneself and to know what it means to have ethics and morals. Otherwise what legacy are we really going to leave behind.

Personally, i loved the 2017 film and to that end i would like to see a sequel to it, but let it be that Zordon gave the original designs for the Zords to the rangers so that it does at least in some way shape or form pay some sort of homage and respect to the original film

Because of how many years have passed since 2017, I don't think a sequel will be made. If they were to make a sequel, the characters would no longer be in high school. Tommy became the Green Ranger when he was still in high school and I'm sure that is something that should be kept. The Power Rangers didn't graduate high school until the beginning of the Turbo season. As much as I would love a sequel to the 2017 film, I think they're just gonna have to reboot it again. The next film should focus enough on who the Rangers are like what the 2017 film did, show maybe a tiny bit more with the backstory of Zordon and Rita, have at least the first 20 minutes focus on "Day of the Dumpster" for the origin, but have most of the movie focus on "Green With Evil". Can have some of the movie focus on "Doomsday" since that was supposed to originally be the finale for the series. Probably also include the Rangers' families being put in danger like in "Return of an Old Friend". As far as I know, the movie should include on the important things from season 1. And since Lionsgate intended for a six or seven movie arc, I think a Power Rangers film series should be entirely based on the Zordon Era (MMPR - In Space), that way the final movie can be based on "Countdown to Destruction" which would basically be like Avengers Infinity War/Endgame for Power Rangers. If they decide to make more films after, like based on Lost Galaxy, they need to be careful so it doesn't have the negativity that people have been having with the Multiverse Saga from the MCU in which they say it should've ended with Avengers Endgame. I hope that the next Power Rangers movie works. And when it happens, it needs to be released in IMAX 3D because that would be a great way to experience a Megazord battle.

Honestly, I like this movie a lot. They were trying to do something new with it while still using some old material. I don't get why people mind that these kids actually have attitude. Just because someone is a rebel or has attitude doesn't mean they're a bad person. I thought it was a much more interesting take than having perfect kids. Most teens now days are far from perfect. It has more relatability and realism to it. This was not a kids movie for kids to see good exampled teenagers. It was an interesting and new take. Although making a sequel now is a little weird cause I feel like they might need to change the story up a little bit since these actors are older now.

Its not that the teens had attitude. Its that they were unlikable. Kim was sending around nude pics of another girl. What else did she have going for her character other than being a bully? It was a very try hard take on trying to make Power Rangers edgy while still making characters one dimensional. For example, Andros was an asshole in in space. But he had a reason. He lost his best friend, he lost his sister. He’s also an alien that’s been travelling through space.. THATS good writing. 2017 Kimberly was a bully because? No reason other than a desperate attempt at shock value. 2017 wasnt a good movie at all

@@Mario-pv8gr Well, everyone has their own opinions on the story. I personally saw each scenario that each of the team went through as relatable to real life high schoolers. My only gripes with the movie was with Trini's mom being a total b*tch when she demanded her daughter to pee in a medical cup, then on the other hand, Zordon and Alpha were nowhere _near_ as memorable as the originals and nowhere near as kind to the group. I think Zordon's sacrifice to revive Billy near the end was a good thing that gave him some likeability points, but otherwise, uh-uh.

I'm a teenager in high-school actually and I'm gonna go ahead and say that this adaptation is very realistic and relatable. I know girls like this and I also know girls who were like this and most of them don't even have a reason to be, it's just high-school and the way that things are specially when we have phones and yes stuff does go around school but about the character she eventually understands and grows up. That's what it's about and the rangers help each other grow, not just thru being a ranger but thru their personal life aswell.

I think they should go on and make the sequel. I’m a Power Rangers fan and I thought it was pretty good how they did it there’s a few things I didn’t like about it don’t get me wrong like the part where the swords came together and look too much like transformers, Optimus prime Robot but they can fix in the next movie. They can change it around when they meet. Tommy Oliver is dragon Zoe’s could change all the resorts and do what they’re supposed to look like Aunt Mike if they’re going to use somebody to play, Tommy should be Jason, David Frank’s son. I think it would be pretty good fans like me would enjoy seeing his son or his daughter take on the role of Tommy Oliver.

A sequel would work, as there is scope at the end of the first film for the green ranger, and then joining the team at the end, then tease the introduction of titanus, ninjor and lord zedd in 3,4 and 5, tommy could get his new powers at the end of the 3rd film, using a back to the future/rocky style recap for the sequels

Let's go for the sequel I believe if they go for the sequel, they'll definitely have a lot of profit since there are people who love it even after the sale went down.

That’s not how the companies work. The 2017 film did very poorly at the box office, and the studio lost money on it. They’re not going to risk losing money again, and that goes for any film that ends up as a loss. Green Lantern also had a sequel planned but that too didn’t happen due to the film also being a huge bomb

@@RB01.10 just wanna let you know there's always a comeback. There are lot of lessons those movies are teaching us all (except for those who watch movies for fun). And one of the lessons those two movies you mention ( power rangers 2017 and green lantern) teaches me personally is that, when ever things go low there's always a moment to get back up. When ever things goes wrong, you can make it right if you apply what's right. All you need are the right crew, right cast, right trailer and right script

Im forever loyal to these Power Rangers because they focus on the realism/reality of movie the story development was Incredible and to be honest I actually related so much because I was seventeen years old when I saw film 3 times like I don't get why everyone is bitching about oh we had to wait towards the end to see all the action with the suits, zords /megazord in stuff but in my opinion I enjoyed every minute of this movie & I still love it I don't care about the reboot I want a Sequel/ Continuation of my Power⚡Rangers a#MakeThePowerRangersSequel⚡ #TogetherWeAreMore💯

Such an underrated movie I would absolutely love if they continue with the sequel to the 2017 film. I didn't need the new version to try and replicate what JDF portrayed. That's his legacy and I'm grateful they tried to do something different that was a nod to what MMPR used to be and how it's advanced with the times

Option 1 is better than rebooting it all over again. I am exhausted with reboots. This strategy will allow the production company to restart but the quality of the story is simply a photocopy. Iconic superheroes such as SpiderMan and Batman lost their iconic status on the big screen due to reboots. A sequel is a risk. Avengers 2 and WonderWoman 2 are forgettable. Frozen 2 is forgettable too though The Winder Soldier is a massive success to me in terms of storytelling. Who have thought it would be that good and even better than the first? As for 2017 Power Rangers, the story is a lot better than the 1995 but the zords are far from great. To save money, the sequel can redirect the story from another angle. This way, there is a new actor, a new story and a new layer of entertainment that will put a stop to these criticisms.

I was born in '93 so i barely remember the OG power rangers but i liked the 2017 version. I have a vague memory of rangers on like a haunted ship with color cordinared pocket knives instead of coins and knives acted as keys as well which movie was that from or was it something else i watched in my childhood years?
