I still do want to see a dark adult style and theme. But aside, if BOOM! Studios/Reserve weren't focused on a reboot, Power Rangers Prime, it'd be interesting to see them pull together the existing material into an (young) adult animation series and have more continuation from there rather than immediately jumping into Prime. Of course it would likely go to streaming..... Harley Quinn was a pretty good series as to why I think it could work here as well.

I would say that risky could be better darker tone and light together.

I prefer a slightly darker tone with lighthearted moments. This could both draw adult fans back in and make new young-adult fans curious. This is why I preferred the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League. The tone Joss Whedon used for his Justice League film ruined the continuity of the films preceding it. Zack Snyder restored DC’s vision and fixed the Extended Universe. I also think that the 2017 PR film could have been a great starting point for a new timeline.

Snyder didnt fix shit, Warner abandoned his grimlord take and he wound up squandering Netflix money. Hes not a good director, just admit it and move on

I like the colorful style of power ranger I hope we stick to the super sentai adapted into Power Rangers

Same here because I won’t let some rudest meanest comments ruin our day or mess with us beloved fellow power rangers fans from all around the world including the whole United States of America we are all going to be forward for now on instead my rules my way I won’t let give up losing hope or give up on our beloved power rangers/Super sentai adaptations

The distribution contract with Toei expired. Without signing a completely new contract, it's not possible to adapt any further seasons of Super Sentai. Wtihout a production and distribution partner, as well as an agreement with Toei, it's pretty much impossible to produce any further Power Rangers shows....

Netflix cancelled their deal with Hasbro. As of right now, Hasbro has no production or distribution partner for Power Rangers. No reason to spend money on a series you can't distribute....or even produce.

It would be a great idea to never change his character's race, gender, or orientation in any possible future reboots or remakes in honor of Jason David Frank. That would be ideal May the power protect you, always

Because Netflix is no longer involved in Power Rangers at all.... They terminated the deal with Hasbro entirely.

Right now they're walking on egg shells so they have to be very careful, if they mess it up again then Power Rangers will be on life support. I think a remake( not reboot)will be better and they should use the cast from Cobra Kai.

Only two reasons why the last effort didnt work: Soccer moms (The ones who utterly ruined Lord Zedd) and DEI (Which is why the big budget film utterly flopped.)

@@soejato2010 Because EVERY one of the rangers just HAS to have some sort of condition - not even for the story's sake, but to pander to every point on the DEI board. Hell they avoided having the black teen take on the Black Ranger coin - because they thought it was "Waaaaaycist..." It was insincere, dull, trite and forced upon and rightly enough people saw through it.

It just comes down to a poor handling of an IP that many of us have high expectations for because we grew up with it. What are those “points on the DEI board” that you’re referring to? It seems that, oftentimes, when someone uses “DEI” as an excuse for why a movie/show/video game/etc., is bad, it just means they have a hard time realizing that what they claim to hate about it diversity, equity and inclusion, was in almost everything they grew up watching or enjoying and they just didn’t realize it before. Like the people who get mad over the X-Men and how it’s all “DEI nonsense”, when it was, rather overtly, originally written about civil rights. And therefore has ALWAYS been about diversity, equity, and inclusion. Power Rangers is much the same. It’s ALWAYS been an inclusive IP. From the very beginning. The difference now is that you’ve folded to your echo chambers viewpoint of nearly anything that contains a minority or woman in a role that you don’t like and it’s instantly labeled “DEI”. The Power Rangers reboot movie was bad. But really just because there’s a fundamental lack of an understanding of what brings the magic to the series. NOT because they switched the races of the Power Rangers. Because let’s say they pulled off the movie fantastically AND did it with those swapped races. Then what? You’d still be against it? I’d hope not. It’s just that the movie was shit. Quit acting like it’s because of a political narrative thing you and others similar have cooked up in your heads. It’s suits and executives making calls for IP’s they don’t understand. That’s it. The DEI nonsense just gives another culture war bullshit narrative for people to argue over instead of addressing the real problem of executives making stupid calls for IP’s they don’t understand.

@The_Phoenix_Saga Saban did it because people screamed that the original casting of a black actor as the black ranger and an asian actor as the yellow ranger in the original MMPR was racist....and switching them in season 2 was seen as an admittance of sorts. Saban was simply responding to the original backlash.... Had nothing to do with DEI. The movie just sucked as part of the Power Ranger universe. Had it been a stand-alone movie with no connection to Power Rangers, it would have been better received.
