Power Rangers Reboot Tommy better than Jason as a MAIN CHARACTER?
According to the information on the internet, Tommy is going to be the main character of the new reboot series, although this Tommy is not going to be the same one we have known all this time. In spite of this, choosing the name Tommy for this main character seems to be a marketing strategy to encourage fans to watch the new series. So the question must be... Why did they choose Tommy and not Jason, are they both on the same level?
Power Rangers is an American television series and franchise of the tokusatsu genre, version of Super Sentai Series, a Japanese television series of the same genre. It has been broadcast since 1993. From 2002 to 2009, the franchise was owned by The Walt Disney Company, but was reacquired in 2010 by Haim Saban, its creator and original driving force between Mighty Morphin and Wild Force (the latter created early in production before the sale of Saban Entertainment to Disney). @Jason was in it for a good time not a long time! He came back back, stepped up when necessary but ultimately was a bit of a one hit wonder. Tommy on the other hand started from a point of no return, stepped up when required, embraced change, and followed the leadership of other teens with attitude when in crisis. I love Jason, but Tommy did the hard yards and stuck it out far longer than he needed to, and stepped back in when he had no business to do so. #IMissyoterriblyJDF The world is a much sadder place without you JDF! I think I can speak for the wider audience when I say we miss your Morphing Life!

I am sorry Tommy is my go-to. He has more transformations and not only was a leader of multiple teams of rangers but also was a mentor over a team.

I gotta say even though Jason is a legendary ranger. And started off as the leader of the power rangers. And he was a great leader. I would have to say that when Tommy started as the green ranger. He was always more powerful than Jason. And when Jason came back. He was a different ranger. However. When Tommy came back. And I don't think anybody ever really noticed this. He always returned as the green ranger. Which is kinda hard to understand. Cause, supposedly the green ranger lost all of his powers. Since, the green candle burned out. And Zordon and Alpha couldn't keep rechargin' him as the green ranger. So, he ended up bein' the white ranger. But, every time that there was a legendary battle. Tommy always showed as the green ranger. Which means that somehow. The green ranger always survived. Which would technically make him the strongest ranger ever. Cause, he always came back as the green ranger. Once, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers storyline was finished. Even though there were other ranger series that Tommy was in. And he was a different color of ranger. After the last full series that he was in. He came back as the green ranger. Which would make him the most powerful ranger ever. Cause, he was truly a legendary ranger. Who always came back. Not sayin' that Jason isn't powerful. But, he's not as powerful as Tommy. That's just my opinion on it. And I don't think. That there's to much of an argument to be made on it. After the last full season that Tommy was in. He always reappeared as the green ranger. Who was supposed to have lost all of his powers. So, I don't really see where the argument is in that aspect of the show all the way around.

No they did not if you watch the show you notice even though there time there Zack was in second command. Your just a Tommy fan it's cool. Watch s2 ep 1 and 2 and you see Jason best leader, Zack was second in command, plus during a fight while Jason is figuring a fight plan out Tommy asks what's going on and with out a second Zack is taking his second in command duty and explaining thing to Tommy with out Jason even saying anything. Tommy and rest rangers do as Jason asked without questioning trust right there.

I agree like those two rangers that mean, I mean those Rangers are really amazing like Jason Scott Lee he is amazing. He was the first original mighty Morphin red range and then in the comments when he move on because of Tommy, he became the new white, Ranger and the new leader of the Power Rangers. Jason had to move onto to become the Omega Ranger red Ranger leader, and then after before that he became the new gold ranger besides he makes his awesome comeback now let’s talk about Tommy. I mean, Tommy has started all his Ranger pass to become the mighty Morphin green ranger and white ranger and after that zeo red Ranger and then turbo, and then after that Dino thunder black ranger I mean, we want those characters back from the reboot because if they don’t figure it out of the other characters, then I was about to say screwed as in there they already screwed up this time and yes, we need the reboot

Jason was my favorite still love Tommy but thought he was great in green, rest were all dull to me. I seen all power rangers it started when I was in middle school from get go it was Tommy vs Jason always the two only icon rangers ever. Love green Suit and powers better, but I always thought Jason was a better leader and a better ranger. Jason did as much as Tommy in a shorter amount of time. But since Jason, Zack and trini got fired from money issues. They were not in the show for there good byes. instead of Jason leading they had make Tommy lead no choice if they want any hope for the show to survive. And big argument be speed watch season 2 with Jason there speed are almost even so Jason would of kept getting better and would be no leader even close to him. Anyhow both have good reason there the best but overall you should start fresh don't use Jason or Tommy everyone knows what power rangers are. Last note for Jason, Zack and trini left the story looked it was so getting better and going away from kiddush story and everything was evolving but then Jason, Zack, and trini got fired and they went super kiddish stuff again. They ran back to they safety net because they were to greedy and they almost went off the air for good. Without Tommy or if even Kim or Billy left with them it would got canceled. My opion.

Tommy was good but have to admit Jason was great the OG. Jason defeated Tommy and through out the series Jason saved him at times. Tommy would also go to Jason for advice when he was around as the gold ranger. They are definitely the top 2 rangers but Jason was 1st Tommy 2nd. Yes Tommy was around longer over all but that doesn’t make the best ranger /leader.

Jason better than Tommy? Ummm NO. Best leader? NO. Where does this stuff come from anyway. Tommy was stronger and more of a threat per the bad guys of the series. There were times in the early seasons when it was Tommy who took the lead and told the team what to do not Jason. Jason was always seemed too emotional to lead with a clear head.

Jason in the original was not the best leader, thats just fan favoritism who didn’t even pay attention to the show. You can tell through the show, tommy was showing better leadership than jason on the show as it progressed.. when tommy had the green ranger powers and it was weak.. he saved jason and the power rangers plenty of times, and showed he had better potential as a leader before he became the white ranger… jason was being pathetic during the show, he was being reckless, kept getting his ass beat by the monsters, and forgot about teamwork after the return of tommy gaining his green ranger powers.. go back and watch it.. even before all that jason was aight as a leader.. nothing special. Its just that he was the first leader people all over him. And that he was able to luckily stop tommy by destroying the sword of darkness. If tommy was still evil around that time, he probably would’ve destroyed the power rangers for good.. they gave jason the loop hole to win against him
