I actually think the Jindrax and Toxica development in "The Master's Herald" really works well for their development because of a very subtle thing. When Jindrax is contacted by Toxica with a message on how to bring her back, he immediately goes shopping for supplies to put the plan into motion. And surprisingly, despite the fact that he looks like a monster and has been present at several battles the Rangers have been fighting, the cashier at the store treats him like he's a regular human being. And hell, when it could've been just as easy to knock the guy away and steal the stuff, Jindrax actually DOES pay for it all. Here's why I think that's important. Jindrax is an orc who was taught to believe that Orcs are supposed to hate all humans. His goal in joining Master Orc's side is to eventually wipe-out mankind. However, we know from the beginning of the movie, that he and Toxica have actually had to live disguised as humans in order to live among society. So in a lot of ways, they've come to understand "the human condition," as it were. But here he is, in broad daylight, outside of his disguise, and for once, a human is not afraid of him, or treating him like a freak. In fact, he's actually being fairly reasonable with Jindrax - treating him like any other guy. Maybe it might be small-potatoes, but I feel like this scene alone handles the concept of humans interacting with Monsters a LOT better than how Mystic Force did it.

There were a lot of hit and miss moments from Wild Force but, in the end, it was the season that united Wes and Jen, the season that saw legends join forces in way that still resonates with us, and the season that proved what makes Rangers special by showing that you really don’t need powers to be a hero. That roll call in the rain still gives me chills.

11:37 Master Org ends up being even more twisted and horrifying in many aspects because his backstory, especially compared to a lot of other Power Rangers villains, is one of the most grounded in reality. He turned to evil because of his own petty jealousy, him feeling overshadowed with his accomplishments going unnoticed, and his monstrous sense of entitlement towards Cole's mother. These are very real negative traits that you can find in a number of real life villains and murderers, who basically view the world through the mindset that they deserve what they want even if they actually don't, and they become cruel, vindictive and destructive when they're denied. It's even more disturbing given that Dr. Adler misblamed Cole's mother despite him never telling her his feelings, and it wasn't the Evans' fault for their work overshadowing his, and they clearly still valued him as a friend. And he murders them, essentially destroying his own humanity before turning towards the destruction of everything else out of sheer selfish spite. There may not be any Orgs in the real world, but there are plenty of people who are exactly like Dr. Viktor Adler. ...It's actually also extremely poetic and a dark parallel in a way, given how much Jindrax and Toxica showed a surprising amount of decency and humanity for a pair of beings literally born to destroy and wreak havoc, yet the very human Dr. Adler ends up being so consumed by the darkest aspects of his own humanity that he willingly forfeits it to become even more monstrous than his own generals.

The reason Cole was made leader immediately was because he was chosen by the Red Lion, who was the leader of the Wild Zords at the time. Taylor was only the leader because she was the first recruit but like Jayden in Samurai, she was never meant to stay as leader which is why she stepped aside so fast even though she disagreed at first. There was even a part in the first episode where she was basically like " Well the Lion chose him".

My biggest problem with the finale is because we had Forever Red. When all hell had broken lose the other rangers that were seem this season Powers in tact aren't there. The only thing I can think of is Master Org having dinner similar spells in the other cities but still it's not Tommy, Jason, TJ and the others would be getting a many teams together

agreed. especially considering Wes might be one of the true "greatest rangers of all time" in my opinion. AND No, i don't care what the franchise says about Tommy being "the greatest ranger ever". Sure he is the one who has served the most time as ranger in different positions, but that doesn't make him the best. He did his job of defending earth alongside his friends but not really that well considering that at the end it was the Space Ranger Team and Zordon who finished the job and saved earth at the worst situation (with is more impressive for TJ's original Turbo Gang sans Justin who failed first). Sorry if i went on a semi-rant. is just that, for me at least, Tommy isn't as great as people say. And I loved that the "Forever Red" crossover treated it as such

The idea behind the Jindrax/Toxica relationship was pretty cool, I'll give you that. The execution... not so much, mostly because Toxica was Vypra 2.0: a henchman villain played by a totally wooden Asian actress who can't act to save her life. It's a bit remarkable how they managed to make the exact same mistake twice in 3 seasons!

this was the season that did the best job with the zords. just wish more seasons would give more life to the zords. some have given the zords a bit more than just using them as giant robots. lost galaxy was the first to do it and other seasons like samurai, mystic force, jungle fury, and dino charge have added more to some of their zords but ita usually for a relatively small plot point. its a shame that most seasons generally only use them for marketing toys.

Yeah, it's interesting that Wild Force was really the only season to have such extensive Zord communication. I just wish that Danny, Max, and Alyssa would have had a more defined relationship with their Zords too. Also, one of several things I love about Tyler is him casually calling his giant robot T Rex "Rexy". It's so perfectly silly.

Really enjoyed the correlation between Cole and Master Org, was something I never actually thought about and has made me appreciate my favorite season more, maybe it’s nostalgia but this is the season that left the biggest impact on me as a kid. And damn Forever Reds ending is a disappointment. It definitely makes the Wild Force Powers look like one of the series strongest and since this was supposed to be the last series I suppose that makes sense . Shows how much the Powers have evolved since the MMPR days and gotten stronger. Still would have loved them to play the Theme songs in Reinforcements and Forever Red.

I think it was past due for Rangers to have a changing of the era. The Neo Saban stuff just wasn't working for most people so this was the perfect time to switch things up. It is a little funny though, since the 2017 movie joked about smashing Bumblebee, but now there's a chance we could see Megazords and Transformers share the screen, which I'm all for, btw, even though I'm not a fan of the Transformers movieverse.

Despite the highs and lows, I enjoyed Wild Force. Master Orc is a crazier and more succesful version of Vlad Masters from Danny Phantom. The team up episodes are in my top two. Seriously getting that many Rangers to come back is tear-inducing. Jen still top tier Pink Ranger. :) However, like you said, Princess Sheila was a weak mentor. Alpha 5 with the jive New York accent could've been better and it hurts saying that. 0.0 The pollution angle really didn't factor in too much either. In my opinion, Wild Force did well with Cole's storyline, the Zords being more than just machines, and showing that the rangers are willing to do whatever it takes to defend the Earth. I think since the writers thought this was the end they were allowed to put in more than usual. Many later seasons except RPM, don't go into themes of despair and loss very often. Looking forward to your next episode!

I know that in the beginning they weren't even friends but look what happened to Jen and Wes from TimeForce, the same could have happened to them...Cole & Taylor, what a beautiful couple! There good fanfics about them, I love to read it, unfortunatelly they are only "fanfics"...

One minor detail I don’t believe was brought up in either part of your review: You mentioned that the dynamic between Jindrax and Toxica clashed with the early message of Orgs not having hearts. A common theory I’ve heard is that the two Duke Orgs were planned to be Cole’s brainwashed parents, who had hearts and could’ve reasonably been brainwashed by Master Org. However, with production of the season changing hands, this idea was either forgotten or struck down by the new storywriters. Your thoughts, Disney Brain?

That would have been an interesting idea! Although, I do feel that Power Rangers has had some speed bumps in terms of revealing once thought lost parents. It was underwhelming in Mystic Force and arguably an even bigger letdown in Dino Charge. So maybe forgetting about that idea was for the best. It would have taken a lot of late game reshaping to make such a reveal work, so it might have cluttered the story too much.

The Disney Brain I don’t think it’s fair to make that judgement on later seasons. Maybe _Wild Force_ could’ve set an example for them. Also, why’d you see that arc from _Dino Charge_ as a letdown? I thought it was all right.

I just don't think Dino Charge did enough with Tyler's dad, despite him being THE person to find since day 1. Conversely, Sky's dad had more impact on SPD without even being alive. I just don't think it did enough for either character, not in the way other better father-Ranger relationships have done.

I still think Samurai is on the level of Wild Force's level. I wish that Samurai wasn't so hated. I am 19 years old and Samurai was my first full rangers season. It holds a special place in my heart. Samurai is still better than Megaforce.

I'll be interested to see how Hasbro handled the casting culture. Saban already started the process before the move was announced, so I'm curious to know if and how Hasbro changes things up. If only for the sake of not having to look at the inside of another High School for awhile, young professionals again, please! And Beast Morphers strikes me as the season to do it.

The Disney Brain I recently read on the application for Power Rangers actors and I think it said somewhere that no previous experience is required which I think is dumb because we've already seen how that's turned out with this franchise and honestly I would love it if we got rid of the highschool mess for a while since it is so over used I want something unique like what lightspeed rescue did

Cole was a good idea on paper, but a bad idea in execution. Medina's acting improved by Samurai (how ironic), but he was quite terrible in PRWF. Most were. The line delivery on PRWF was on par with Tommy Wiseau's productions.

Even the PRWF actors stated before that they were told to deliver their lines in a silly, over-the-top manner... leading to A LOT of unintentionally hilarious and cringey line deliveries like in The Room. Cole was saddled by a lot of that, but Rick's range as an actor wasn't that great to begin with. Shayla's performances were straight up comical.

another cool thing about Forever Red is that the Beet...I mean Machine Empire guys were all voiced by other former Rangers. I can't remember them all off the top of my head, but Catherine Sutherland ( Kat ) was one & I believe Walter Jones ( Zack ) was as well...pretty sure Johnny Bosch was too.

It kinda has weak villian is a criticism I've heard and can somewhat agree with. They're not very structured well or particularly developed besides Diabolico. Also the team up was majorly botched by huge production issues from what I've heard

Disney wasn't going to give the show runners another two part episode with no sentai footage for Forever Red, after they had already did a two part episode with very little sentai footage in Reinforcements from the Future. They tried to shoot extra footage hoping Disney would change their mind, but they wouldn't budge & the runners didn't have enough money to finish the episode (which was already really expensive with all the guest stars). So they went to Bandai for the money, they agreed but only if they promoted a new toy at the end. So it was one episode, it had several plot holes, it had a crappy cgi Serpentera (that was way smaller than it should have been) being beaten by a cgi motorcycle, and the episode is still a million times better than the Legacy War.

I liked Wild Force, I consider it better than Ninja Storm, Mystic Force and Lightspeed rescue but not as good as SPD and Dino Thunder. The first chapters were very fast, the master org was the main villain of the series but his appearances were very short, Team Ups Reinforcement from the Future is great, but Forever Red and PLOT HOLES, etc. PD: I HATE PRINCESS SHAYLA
