I have been using a Swardman Electra for a couple of months now and absolutely love it. It is very easy to control, has reverse with a push of a button, cruise control, independent hand controls for the reel and the drive. I can get almost two full mows on a single charge (my lawn is about 18,000 sq/ft)

OMG this would be perfect for me. I'm a small woman and have muscle issues. I love gardening and doing stuff for myself but have to use easier control machines and stuff. And it's hard and very expressive for my modest budget. I love gardening and it help me get stronger and helps with my condition without stressing my body too much (I have to be so careful) Doc if you see this you have no idea how much I would appreciate winning this. This is a fantastic contest Doc! Thank you TRU-CUT! Because I live in Canton, GA, I relate to all of your posts perfectly! And I utilize a rotary blade mower with a striping unit.... The reel type mower will do a much better job on my Bermuda grass.

Started cutting my own grass two years ago at age 53 and started with a Tru-Cut. My neighbor has one and convinced me to get one. I've never mowed with any other kind of mower so I really don't know the difference. I do like the Tru-Cut mower and recommend it.

I like reel mowers, and I miss not having one. The first lawn mower I ever used as a kid was my father’s reel mower (probably about 15” blade) and my grandfather had a reel mower too. In high school and college, I mowed lawn tennis courts and croquet greens using reel mowers. The croquet green mower was a 30 inch, 415 volt electric Scott Bonnar “Queen”. I had to be careful not to run over the cord with that voltage, and no GFCI for safety! At the other end of the scale, I mowed a elderly neighbor’s lawn using a tiny reel mower powered by a 6 volt car battery. Reel mowers give the best cut.

I have a 4500sqft lawn with a 20" cali trimmer and i feel its small for my lawn........cant imagine on your lawn. Must be a serious workout going from your riding mower to a reel mower. Man o man. I'm excited to use the new granular. Just opened my 2nd (hopefully last) bag of superjuice. It's kind of a pain in the butt adding water and dye and watching my walking speed!!! I still have my organic granular, waiting for steady 85+degrees and no rain, to spread that out this summer. Thanks for all you do, Doc. And thanks for hosting the giveaway! Wish you would have posted this video last year. Got myself a California trimmer GX120 last Christmas... Tru cut now seems much better. My little mower beats me ever time I use it. I would love to send you pictures of my lawn when I purchased it, improvements, where it is now, and then get advice on how I can totally dominate anyone else's lawn.

Just wanna say thanks for the informative videos. My bermuda was struggling last year and I've followed the calendar since winters end and tips you post and it's absolutely beautiful now. Thick, lush, green extremely nice! It's not easy, it's not too hard either. I just need a crew to topdress/level out the undulations and it'll be complete. Needs mowing 3x a week now. Lol.. Dang you Doc. Now I need one of these mowers and its all your fault. I'm 68 years old with a bad back and sciatica. I currently use a manual push type reel mower and have just short of a half acre of Bermuda. I decided to follow your program of Pre-emerge, PGF, and Superjuice to get my "worlds 2nd worst Bermuda lawn" to straighten out. It worked so well I had to change back to my old Honda HR214 to cut it because I cannot push through the thick rich Bermuda any more. In only 3 months I've gone from the worst lawn in the neighborhood to the best lawn in the neighborhood. I'm in North Texas with no sprinkler system so it will slow down some when the heat comes in about another month thank goodness.

I would love a reel mower. I used one for years on my Tiff lawn but it was a push mower, no engine. Health problems brought that to a halt. Reel mowers give a far better cut than a rotary mower.

Great give away. Looking forward to the fertilizer release. I had a Trucut, but sold it and got a Swardman. You are right they are all great mowers. While I loved my Trucut I find I have the same and slightly better control with my Swardman. The Swardman is lighter and easier to maneuver.

Hey Doc! Love the videos. Might be a good idea to go over height adjustments (min and max cutting heights). Along with maintenance (grease points, reel to bed knife adjustment, etc.) and how often those need to be done.

That is a hell of a giveaway Doc, never won a thing in my life....this would make for a great start....been buying and using the products you have suggested. My watering hose that i bought didn’t last 3 times using it. My grass has a long way to go, but I am confident I will be able to get to where I will be satisfied. Have the c27 model, my second one! Have the slow transmission. With the dual wheels, it's great for my 29 degree Slopes in my zoysia lawn. Boy does it stripe well!

I knew you lived in Georgia. Just started watching you a few3 weeks ago. I just got a place outside of Atlanta, home use to have renters, yard was a mess 80% weeds. Already have it turned around, many neighbors (with nice lawns) asking what I'm doing. Have some of your products in my cart to buy (some super juice and Humic DG. Love the channel, would love a reel mower! My dad has been a golf course superitendant all his life, i grew up on the course, was mowing greens before i could drive. I love em, but can't afford one. I always wanted one, since I'm mowing my parents yard almost every week for 3 days, using a weedeater. I live in TX. What's your best suggestion to kill all variety of bad weeds in a lawn?! My parent's lawn is covered with 99% of varieties of bad thick long weeds in a 2,400 sq ft. I've had tried many products from killing bad weeds. The soil isn't cooperative w/ good grass that my siblings and i pitched in putting on the lawn. Our sprinkler system had been broken for many yrs. So I need to know which product to put in to kill all the bad weeds, before the fertilizer. I have to deal with baby snakes and yard's bugs (fleas, ticks, etc), whenever I'm mowing the yard. I want a lawn with not much of water. I always leaves my furchild inside the house than outside. I want to care for my parents yard, since my dad can't do a man's job anymore due to his early illness. Thanks for this opportunity. I'm a subscriber, and also registered in the sweepstake.
