You have great tips and share some excellent ideas and techniques. Now you just need to make more videos and share all your secrets. You have about 12 videos and you have somewhere around 17K in subscribers; that is unheard of for a niche interest channel about modelling; that shows just how good your videos are. Imagine if you put out one video a week or at least one video every two weeks. Your subscriber count would go up significantly. I know it is hard work, but you already have a great format and are well along the learning curve of video production(easy for me to say, I have never made a video) Now get with it brother. You have the knowledge, now share more of it. Don't worry to much about the perfection in production value. We need a "Yank" to give our brother's from the same mother(the Brits) a run for their money. PrimeModel Works and you have the best videos this side of the pond, we just need more of them. Thanks for your videos, they are very good.

Thanks so much! I have alot of stuff all going on at the same time, so it's a challenge to get new videos made. I'm also wanting to upgrade my recording setup so that I can capture more footage and get more videos created. But I fully plan to make alot more content soon!

And here's another tip, if you use photo etch, some of the pieces can be tiny, each one of those bristles you cut off can be glued to the end of a toothpick and used as a superglue/CA applicator, it will deliver MINISCULE amounts of glue to exactly the right spot!

Er... My two cents: 1°) Instead of cutting the hairs, it is easier to pull them out with a plier, as they are fold in two and forced into the holes. 2°) I bought a tool to cut the sanding paper, but it cost a bit, so your idea is much better. 3°)I suggest using the simpler, round, heads for the toothbrush, as we won't use the "swinging" part. 4°) As for me, I use a piece of foam between the toothbrush head and the sanding paper as it gives a "soft" feeling but one can prefer a "stiffer" approach. Anyway, using any tool for a different use than the one it was designed for, is so much fun...

After reading your comment I tried pulling out the bristles and some came out, others just tore apart. I found it easy enough to cut them though. 3) I use both sides of the sanding head, not at the same time, but I actually use the "swinging" (rotating?) part almost all the time, keeps the sanding pattern more random. (4) Maybe you missed the part of the video where I show to use the double sided 3M foam tape, but it's in there. Thanks for the tips and watching!

All that work making your own punch seems like a huge waste of time, a simple template trace would suffice... but cool idea nonetheless.

It only takes a couple minutes to make, and you only have to make one. Using a template is also possible, though the foam tape probably wont have a very good edge which gets in the way of sanding. For that matter, you could also just cut a circle with scissors if you wanted to. Thanks for watching!
