Ghost lost it and when you physically punish your kids out of anger you can really hurt them and all the child feels is hated that's why Tasha stopped Ghost... as for Ghost he was never soft on Tariq since he was a kid for hitting Raina Tariq brought up in the S6 finale he was shookt talking about it and that's the problem with parents they believe that they are disciplining when they are really taking out their anger on their child for doing or saying something wrong there is a huge difference between discipline and going overboard or in other words abuse you want your kids / young teen to respect you not fear you Tariq feared his father but he did not respect him anymore he had been lost respect for his father because of his actions of hurting his mother by cheating on her in his face with Angela then he moved in with Angela and after he was almost beat for calling this same women a side bitch that's when Tariq lost all respect for his father Ghost's reaction to his side chick being called what she was didn't make him look good in his son eyes and it's the same thing with this scene what did yanking up and slamming Tariq on a wall help?! if Tasha didn't stop Ghost he would've beat Tariq after he was already feeling sad guilty heartbroken and alone without his twin sister Ghost punishing Tariq here would've damaged him even more like Tasha told him you can't do anything worse to him than blaming him for Raina's death though it wasn't all his fault he still felt horrible and destroyed about it... whoopin' your kids doesn't make them respect you it makes most kids resent their parents in Tariq's case his father always trying to beat him because he was disrespectful didn't make his son respect him it didn't make Tariq listen to him or take away his anger all it did was make him hate him even more there are other positive ways to get your child's respect back also respect is earned not given Tasha earned back her son's respect by taking responsibility for the wrong she taught him while Ghost could never look at himself or his actions that affected his son the most.

@@antioneatkins7724 Noo Tariq did not deserve to get beat HE was hurting enough with losing his twin sister 😒 this scene IS beyondd sad physically toxic and dysfunctional Tariq just tried to run because he knew it was coming... it was soo sad how Ghost was ready to beat up his son instead of confronting Kanan with that same energy since he was the one WHO taught Tariq how to set up robberies 🤦🏽‍♀️ he also twisted up manipulated and corrupted him into a life of crime and Tariq being a young teen spiraled out of control doing the things Kanan taught him to do... as a result he made mistakes a lot of them yes but he still didn't deserve to get a beating from his father he didn't want Raina to get killed it was all out of his control after he found out he was set up and he found out too late she followed him and another thing Ghost's snapping reaction in this scene was exactly why Tariq asked Raina not to tell he was in trouble because he KNEW! that Ghost would've been angry that his son had been doing criminal activities and he would've snapped on him in his anger of which Tariq tried TO! avoid he was trying not to be exposed this was why he asked Raina not to tell and that she would only make things worse like the reasons for Tariq not telling ANYBODY was because he was scared he ALSO knew that if he did tell on himself there would have been consequences which he didn't want (obviously no teen does) which was why he was going to choate to get away from Ray Ray and to not be exposed by (HIS FATHER ESPECIALLY) because that was a beating waiting to happen but Raina gets killed and Tariq still gets exposed for all of the criminal activities he was doing and almost gets beat which he TRIED to avoid from the beginning... also who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️ maybe Tariq would've came to his father andd told he was In trouble if his father didn't snap and react in a verbal and physical way of which he ALWAYS did when his son said or did something WRONG OR made a mistake.. if parents want their teens to come and talk to them when they're in trouble they should react in a way where the teen feels comfortable enough to tell the truth no matter how bad it may be it's okaee to be angry but don't go overboard which Ghost always did which was exactly why Tariq did not say anything when you react like Ghost did = physically you only scare your teen from talking to you and they make sneaky moves to keep their parents or parent from finding out about their wrong doings this was what Tariq was doing but it all backfired because he was set up and didn't know it also him loosing Raina was the biggest consequence he's faced at the time that hurt more than any beating his father wanted to give him now it's understandable Ghost was angry his daughter was killed indirectly because of his son's actions but what would hurting his son had made better?! absolutely nothing not to mention he was so angry that he could've really hurt Tariq and when you punish in anger it becomes abuse which was why Tasha stopped him from beating their son and it's like Tasha told him you can't do anything worse to him than that and it's not all of his fault and it wasn't... but Ghost rather punish his son instead of going after the man who messed his son's mind up that I did not understand not one lil bit 🤔 again this scene was very sad to watch violence on yo young teen is never the answer.

The power sequal has good writers, however Omari is so talented, his character became more significant than the direction of the sequel. Killing ghost meant killing Power. And while Power Book 2 may have a great following, its all under the shadows of Omari's character James St Patrick. When the talent has more influence than the director, they get replaced. Ghost did not try to scold Tariq... he did scold Tariq and very harshly! now it was understandable why Ghost was angry with his son after finding outt his son had been doing bad / criminal activities Tasha was not happy finding that out either which was why she stepped back and let Ghost talk to Tariq she let him scold him and she only said something after Ghost hit the table while yelling at Tariq Tasha just wanted answers from Tariq not to scare and physically punish him he was hurting enough after losing his twin sister... Tasha is a mother and most mother's always try to cool down arguments between the father and the son also most mother's don't want too see their son get physically punished by his father Tasha just tried to calm Ghost down because she never wanted him to lose control in his anger and really hurt their son and Tasha did the right thing when she stopped Ghost from beating Tariq here because if she did not stop Ghost he would've beat Tariq angry that Raina is gone which would've hurt and emotionally damaged Tariq more than he was already was damaged not just with Raina's death but his strained and physically toxic relationship wit his dad
