Power Sector - Institution Testing Gameplay - H3VR

‪@AntonHand‬ had a new seed for us to try on Institution this week, this time it is the Power Sector, with some large hold points and complex cover to work around.
I moved over to a new OS drive this week, which means i set my stream/recording layout up from scratch again. I pulled the VR view in a bit to try and center the sight a bit better, please let me know if it causes any issues with actually watching the content, I don't want to take away too much FOV and cause discomfort.

The TOZ mag reminds me: You can +2 most all tube fed guns. Fill the magazine, then hold the bolt open, load one into the chamber and one more into the mag tube. It's not much but when you only have five or six rounds an extra two shots might save you

anyone with basic knowledge of how a bolt action chamber and magazine works would know this, hes had countless games of take and hold and crazy reloads, i think he just didnt bother with capping off his ammo since hell just reload with his spawn locked mags anyway

So to give feedback on the centered view, in my opinion, it makes it feel a little too zoomed in when watching it. Although this may be from me being so used to how your viewpoint was set up in older recordings and I just need to adjust to the new look. Personally, I would go back to the older, pulled-out PoV.

@@jeditobiwan I had *just* noticed the FoV being more zoomed than usual as I read this. The current setting is functional but I do agree that pulling it out more would look better. High key that stuff is clutch for making videos in VR look good.

Y'know, what really boils my chicken about .30 Super Carry is that it's adamantly trying to fight against 9x19, when there's a shitload of markets that don't let people own weapons in "military calibers", and a round with kinetic energy close to 9mm but legal would make a mint there.

regarding your tracking issue. try disbaling controller haptics in the steamvr controller bindings for each game that you play. lmk if that solves the issue. i was having issues tracking on my right controller, disabling haptics fixes tho.

Has Jedi ever posted a video saying what his graphical setting are on H3VR and his Index? I want to make sure I'm not doing the VR equivalent of driving a car only in 1st gear. Hopefully this isn't too off topic, because it's a pleasant treat to see Jedi posting/streaming again, but I also really hope he's doing well now that he's not stressing himself out to stream every weekend.

H3VR settings: High graphical preset, no ssao Index settings: 90fps and 100% super sampling while streaming. 120 and auto super sampling when not.

only when I play off stream/without recording. I probably have the extra overhead to run it while streaming, but I ask a lot of my GPU with running H3, streaming it, recording it locally, and running all of my add ons lol

On the off-chance you see this, do you have any tips for adapting to playing H3VR with index controllers? I've been using the Vive wands for the last few years, and it's been a struggle.

Oh man, that was a challenge for me as well. I had to retrain myself purposely on every weapon system in the game. The touchpad is the largest change in my opinion, but it just takes some time to get used to the reduced surface area. Can still be plenty dexterous with them

I also have an index and it's always my right controller flying away aswell at random. It only happens in H3VR though. Wondering if it could have something to do with the constant vibration the right controller specifically gets when playing this game.

Check the options under armswinger and enable the base movement speed boxes for both hands. Youll move slightly while only pressing the locomotion buttons

An open total noob question: How do you avoid recording your mouse cursor when recording VR? It seems like the checkbox in OBS does nothing, and no matter where I move it it pops up in the center of the screen anyway. Is there a nice OBS intro video for VR specifically?

Make sure you select "apply" whenever you disable the obs mouse cursor recording. I don't know why or how it "pops up in the center of the screen anyway."

If you think your drums are causing tracking issues you should throw a dark blanket over them sometime. Should fix the issues if thats the cause. I had similar issues with my index.

Can I get an answer to a question relating to First 2 Wurst? I got curious and read the rules on the page, and spawn locked runs are worth more than Limited Ammo Runs. I swear I follow the dev logs but I guess I didn't realize the scale of the new level compared to prior ones. Like Dakota is pretty big but sparse, this is full of environmental flavor.

I finally managed to scrounge together the money to get a valve index. It’s coming in 3 business days and I CANNOT WAIT. I’ve literally been playing H3 on an Oculus Quest 2 with virtual desktop and horrific drift stick up until now 😂

How does jedi get infinite rounds from the purple slot? I’ve been trying to do this for ages and cant seem to figure it out, but keeping one bullet per slot doesnt seem to make loads of sense

Once you have a magazine/bullet in your quickbelt, hover over it with an empty hand and press the touchpad/joystick in. It should turn the slot blue and "spawnlock" it

For the Tracking issue : 1. it could very well be your drum set or any other reflection 2. back in the day there was a Problem with 4 Sensor setups. Back then it would actually be worse then 3 sensors. Bit i have no ideal of that is still a thing. Maybe give it a try

Quickbolting, i never remember what the simple controls bind is though, i only know its the side of the index touchpad. moves your hand to the bolt, then moves it back after the cycle is complete.
