In this Lux Blox model of electrical power source and circuit, the rectangular box represents the power source. If the rectangular structure is to represent an electrochemical cell, the upper stripe represents an anode and the lower stripe represents a cathode. If the rectangular structure is to represent a solar cell, the upper stripe represents an n-doped semiconductor and the lower stripe represents a p-doped semiconductor. The ramps represent an electrical circuit and the small yellow cube represents an electron. The electron is raised in height (and in potential energy) to the top of the power source, where it rolls down the ramps back to lower potential energy at the bottom of the power source, Special thanks to Karma Carter, Victoria Pohlman, and Annika Wyant for assembling this model.
