It's amazing how people can shred at 10000 notes per second but then can't play as this guys did in their times. When I first heard Power Thrashing Death it was like "wow, this is like Kill 'Em All and all that stuff from this time like Exodus or something". And I thought about the "shredding" that thrashers usually do. It's not like the modern stuff where you can clearly hear what's going on and what are the guitar players doing, it's more like a chaos but on purpose. And I love it. When he started to play the riff slowly I was like "god, this is horrible", but when he sped up I realised how good at the "chaotic sound" this guys are. I mean: it's nothing bad, it's like a personal own style and I love it. Nowadays we have lack of that (Sorry for my bad English :S )

Hey my friend. Tony Portaro here. The video is definitely recorded with the tuning down a half step to Eb. If you are using a tuner, maybe your calibration is off. What I suggest is hold your finger down on the 4th fret of the A string and tune by ear to the main chord of the song...the C#. Then locate that on your tuner and adjust the other strings relatively with the tuner. And always remember, the human eye is much stronger than the ear. So tuning by eye is, by far, better than tuning by ear.
