I was at Pipe in 98’ and Wingnut did really well, made the semis i think. His early heat waves were unreal. I remember this vid, i might even still have it with contortion, raw 2 and others around this time. I used to surf 40 hours a week in the 90s..around Bulli, Woonona. Had my share of decent island..no other wave like it. Was there last sunday for the SIC, too south, but heavy man lol.

Yes, I had this video also. Trying to find a bit when I think Wingnut is talking about. Conchie / Conchy heads ! Such a cool phrase for a nobbly reef is my understanding of that phrase !
