hopefully this concept can be rolled out across the GWR network. Some routes are woefully overcapacity and freeing up trains running short branch lines in order to increase capacity or service frequency could really make travelling by train a more attractive and simple task.

Most lines are far too long for this technology to be effective as it currently stands. What we really need is new DMU and Bi-mode stock to boost the capacity of the aging fleet of 80s DMUs.
