Does the soft side’s fabric make loud noises when trying to sleep like a tent?

No, I was expecting the camper to be more tent-like, but it's much more quiet and insulated than a tent. The soft side walls are a lot thicker and in several layers. If you raise the roof completely, then the canvas will remain taut and won't flap around in the wind.
