A very good how-to video. I appreciate you showing exactly how you did things in real time and not a bunch of stills overlaid with loud music. Don't get me wrong, I love loud music but when I watch a how to vid, I prefer to see the work done as you did and to leave the tunes for the road test. Good tips on the sound 'damping' as well. It made quite a difference. I appreciate your effort and the time you took to make a great video. Well done man!!

The felt is tight to create a squeegee action when it rains to keep the glass clean from dirt and to have the rain water collect quickly into big droplets so when it reaches the bottom of the door it will drain and not collect or mist causing the door to rust inside out. Good video I would have installed a vapor barrier too just a suggestion.

i bet u have never seen factory power windows for a 68 pu i have a set of doors with power windows out of a 68 class c motor home even had tilt wheel cruise control wiper delay air condition with a 428 and a c6 trans for free all working . all is for my 70 high boy that i got for 250 bucks rust free clean body ranger with tool box on side . i got this motor home for free for the engine but after looking at it there is a lot of good parts that i have never seen before like real wood trim dash very fancy door panels the chrome trim in the interior has roses all through it full swivel capt. chairs for a ford pu but u would have to pull the fuel tank out of the cab. and the front clip looks new it is so nice . looks like it sat most of its life got it from the original owner . the truck i am the 3rd owner

I had a '68 F100 with bucket seats from the factory. 390 C6 & PS. Twas a great ride. edit: when you get ready to replace the door weather stripping use the GM type with the wire crimp c channel. It is far superior than trying to contact cement the OEM style.

the door panel screws can cause the windows to be hard to roll down if they are to tight.

Someone on another channel said that different year trucks use different thickness of glass, the drivers side might be from a different year truck and doesn't fit in the track correctly. I wish I could remember where I saw it to refer you to it

The drivers window is after market glass for sure. The back curve doesn’t match perfectly. Might be a little thicker like you said. I lubed it with silicone spray and it seems a lot better.

You can lubricate the felts with WD40 or Silicone spray.

You’re right. I sprayed some silicone lube in there after the video and it’s now totally smooth up and down.

Great upgrade. I will have to do this on my 64. Do you find that the door area is tight for installing the boot? My 64 doesn't have a ton of room in the jam area.

The door are super solid. The truck came from southern ab where it's really dry. I just keep it clean(ish)

It says Nu-Relics window kits. I've searched all over their site. I can't find the same switches you used. Can you send out a number for them? You should use white lithium grease on the bottom channel of the window and did you put any grease on the cranking gears. Or are you just running them dry? Also. Dry Graphite spray in the upper window channels will really help that chatter. The switches????
