This was a great topic! It really got me thinking. Yes, please share the negative word list. Also, have you done a video on words to absolutely avoid? Or old words (think the great depression ie 1920s-1940s ) that have new connotation that those younger than the boomer generation will likely not vibe with? Thanks!

I was telling someone about it today, but it was an interesting perspective from a linguist about how word connotation changes with time via the internet ... anyway, you got my wheels turning, too!

Love this list, but I am curious ... do using power words like this ever make people feel like they're being sold to? Whenever I try using these words in my copy I worry that it makes the writing sound too salesy.

GREAT question, bud! I totally understand the feeling of not wanting to sound too "sales-y". ~think of it this way~ The words accompanying your visuals are what actually *help* someone decide if what you’re offering will serve them or not. Helping them discern this-helping them figure out if something is for them or not-that’s simply good customer service! I hope this helps! xx.

Oh yet another reason I live with my thesaurus tab permanently open. My Dad used to love to tell everyone I got my degree in talking and actually didn’t need any help. 😆😆😆 Nerd that I am, I have mine spreadsheeted subdivided by article of speech and alphabetized with columns and tags like, positive, negative, subtle, Watch context, sales, trust building, and occasionally what part of the funnel they are most effective in psychologically😆😆😆 and that’s why I need a shirt that says walking nerd alert
