Being in IIT does not mean you would 100% land a job. There are many IITian's who even after getting a degree from IIT are still jobless. What matters is your experience, projects, resume and most importantly your skills and knowledge.

Keep in mind, after he graduated he still worked as mechanical engineer for some times before switch into softwaee engineer. Plus he spent 5-6 hours every single day after his tired job as mechanical engineer to learn Software Engineer. Yall keep making excuses.
