did similar to control unilights controller using 2 switches feeding into light controller channel. 3 posn switch up to 60% for scheme 2 nav/strobes, then when I put gear down it set light control ch to 100% which keep nav/strobes on but also deploys landing lights and turns them on via scheme 3.

I'd like you to take note of the following text: Starting at 11:18 of the video in the 'Throttle Trim' Function menu. You mentioned using the Throttle stick to control the rate and positioning it at the mid stick, exactly at the center with the switch in the middle at 13:22. I'm not able to position my switch to the middle because it's a two-position Safe switch.

@@joseortega9965 Hi Jose, my example is to emulate a 3 position trim (low/med/high) setup which we normally use with JetCat turbines. Ate you wanting to just setup a two position trim (low/hi) setup similar to what Xicoy turbines expect...? In this case we can do it differently.

@@CVHeliPilot Yes is a Jetmunt (Xicoy) I have the safety switch and I am trying to use the switch assigned as trim. Also after doing this programming will I have to teach the ECU: “Trim up/Stick up”: Using the safety switch on the Off position and Throttle up? “Trim down/stick down”:switch on “On “ position but stick down? “Stick down / trim down” Switch on the ON position and Throttle down?

@@joseortega9965 you can do this pretty easily... Just make a new function called throttle trim and assign the switch to this. Now set the total servo travel just for this function to say +/- 15%. You then need to go into the setup curve for this function and offset the curve so it will only operate below half stick.

On my Futaba IZ16 i use the throttle trim to "turn" it on, and the the throttle stick to start. but i would rather have that on a switch, cuz on my gas planes i have the killswitch on a switch. Been looking at the PBS Atom radio for a little more than a year now. still a bit expensive, and now the Swedish Krona is worthless its REALLY expensive :(

I also have a 18SZ and 16IZ. The main benefit of the Atom & Core over the Futaba is their telemetry as Futaba is not as strong in this area.

@@CVHeliPilot and Atom has the display in the correct position, I really don't like having the display under the neckband 😂

@@CVHeliPilot and for that reason, its damn expensive radio, and Swedish Krona is rock bottom right now, its not the right time to import stuff :( for us its about 25-30% more expensive now than a year or two ago. My Futaba is now twice the price now compaired to then i bought it then i launched to replace my old old old HiTec Aurora 9x. 5800:- SEK then bought it, now its 10K SEK.

Could you simply change the throtle funtion trim to the 3-way switch for trim? No need for a seperate "function" just for trim?

No as you cannot directly assign an actual toggle switch to the trim function. You can assign the trim switches or any of the push button momentary switches but not the toggle switches.
