I had no idea about the different shades of green in the title timeline bar! Thanks for explaining it! Cheers 😁👍

So that's what that designer with two shades of green is all about!. I never understood that the In and Out parts are actually part of the thing (title or transition, etc) that I put on the timeline, because they don't show there. I've fooled around with them but hadn't really analyzed what was happening. Thank you once again for an excellent tutorial.

Thank you! Your tutorials are fantastic😀I had no idea I had to change the duration of the intro in preferences. But it begs the question why you can change it when editing the intro.... when it always reverts to the default setting in preferences. Thanks again!

Thanks for the wonderful tips extremely helpful. I was wondering what is the transition called in the beginning of your video the one it flips the video page?
@SharperTurtle4 жыл бұрын
That is called a fold transition. It is not currently available in PowerDirector. I placed it in the project with a different piece of software. I have suggested that the PD folks look to build it into their product. But I have no special access to their development team. Hopefully we will see it one day. --Jim

GREAT ideas and presentation, as usual! Question, I would like to have a TEXT FONT with a custom image that ONLY effects the letters of the font and not the back ground that the text is over. Can this be done?

I'm trying to understand what you are looking for. I'm not clear about what you mean by a font with a custom image. Could you add to your description a bit? Thanks. --Jim

@@SharperTurtle in TITLE DESIGNER , BACKDROP, FILL TYPE, I can select IMAGE and I can adjust Opacity of the image. I would like to have the IMAGE only visible in the letters of the TITLE. With Title Designer this does not seem possible. THANKS.
@SharperTurtle4 жыл бұрын
I understand now. The only way to do that would be to insert an image behind the title in a manual way in the Title Designer. You can do that by adding an image on another track in Title Designer. Use the fourth button on the left above the preview window. I'll make a tutorial about that. --Jim

I always work on exact numbers of seconds, eliminating frame counts. So my titles, usually 20 to 30 seconds in duration, the effect of the in/out animation is timed at exactly 3 seconds or exactly 5 seconds with no straggling extra frames.

That's a great way to be precise. Neil. --Jim

@@SharperTurtle It's something I've been able to do since PD14. I apply the same practice to editing the videos themselves. If the clip is, for example, 3 minutes, 25 seconds and 15 frames long, I excise the 15 frames when I drop the clip onto my timeline. In PD17 and PD14 as well as Corel Video Studio, I can "snip off" excess frames right down to one frame over the wanted length of video. This wasn't possible in PD8 or PD7, if a clip was just two frames in excess of the wanted exact time length, i would have to lose an entire second's worth of video plus those two extra frames in order to trim my video clip down to an exact number of minutes and seconds, which I considered to be an annoyance. But with PD14, 17 and Corel Video Studio, I've been able to snip off those pesky extra frames.

@@neilforbes416 what about three seconds per title
@Jamienomore4 жыл бұрын
I have a few Episodes of an old Childrens TV Programme called, 'FIREBALL XL5'. I want to put them on a DVD. In PowerDorector 19 is there any way to make the Title in two colours, Orange and Yellow fading into each other?
@SharperTurtle4 жыл бұрын
Yes. In the Title Designer highlight the title and then in the Object Tab go to "Font Face". Switch the fill type from "Uniform Color" to "2 Color Gradient. You will see a "begin with" and "end with" box Click on each of them to select the starting and ending colors. Then you can modify the gradient direction below. That should accomplish your task.--Jim
