I used the built-in music a few years ago and got a copyright hit on KZbin. I now use Epidemic Sound and never have a problem. Any idea if these are properly tagged for copyright clearance?

Same happened to me a while back. I had to protest by sending a copy of the Cyberlink Licensing. YT then removed the copyright claim against the video.

That happened to me once as well. I suspect clearances will occasionally be an issue. It's no fun, but I don't want to avoid using potentially beneficial resources out of fear I'll have to push back. --Jim

Thank you for this. When I preview SoundStripe files, playback adds a terrible stutter which renders the preview nearly useless. I opened up a ticket with Cyberlink but so far I've not been able to correct it. This only happens with SoundStripe files. Have you ever noticed this?

I tried a new audio clip from SoundStripe and did not experience the issue that you did. Hopefully the technicians at Cyberlink will have an idea what caused the problem you are dealing with. --Jim

What version of PowerDirector are you using? Only PowerDirector 365 offers background music. --Jim

Some of these audio files will give you a copyright hit on KZbin, its not a strike but none the less. If I recall correctly, it is the soundstream files that show up as copyright. I don't think the files listed under cyberlink have this issue.

Thanks for alerting us to this. Wish these clearances were bullet-proof. --Jim

Here’s a tip that has worked for me when using Soundstripe audio with PD365 for uploading content to KZbin. Hover your mouse over the Soundstripe icon at the left of the file name or the down arrow to the right and right-click. Select 'Create KZbin Code.' Copy and paste this code into the video description while the video is uploading. This step is crucial. I initially tried adding the code after the video was uploaded but received a copyright hit. To fix this, I deleted the video, reuploaded it with the code in the description, and the issue was resolved. Since then, I’ve used this method on several videos without receiving strikes. While I can’t guarantee it works for all Soundstripe files, having the code should help you contest any potential copyright issues and potentially have hit removed.
