Thank you for this video! And also wanted to say a big THANK YOU for your mop! I moved into a house with a lot of LVP. The manufacturer recommends using ammonia based cleaners which I don’t want to use for health/ environmental/ pets concerns and they advise against using soapy cleaners. I remembered your advise to use dilute vinegar for LVP, and cleaning my LVP with your mop and dilute vinegar has been life changing! Thank you for all your tips and products! ❤

Question: Do you use different gloves or wash them when cleaning the toilet vs everything else? Or do you use the same gloves for everything?
@cassidyszewczyk50296 ай бұрын
For me, if I do use gloves, I would use one pair for the kitchen, and another for the bathroom. I would try to go from the cleanest area to the dirtiest, then launder them if able.
@celindavallejo54726 ай бұрын
What about cleaning the bathroom? Like do you use different gloves for the toilet and another pair for the sink and bathtub?
@cassidyszewczyk50296 ай бұрын
@celindavallejo5472 I would probably just go in the order of sink, shower, and then toilet, but I don't see any harm in wanting a separate pair of gloves for the toilet. Do what feels right for you.

Good solar eclipse Monday afternoon Melissa, I send you very warm greetings from beautiful, mild (finally a day) Chicago by Lake Michiga. Hey Melissa, I love all your videos and bought, downloaded your DIY recipe E-Book. So far very good. One "issue" that did come up is when I use the Orange essential oil to give a scent to my air freshener/disinfectant sprayer, it can leave an orange oil stain on bathroom White tub and toilet bowls. Also, when I clean my gas stove with baking soda and other products, I mess up the gas flow from the burners, the gas either doesn't come out from all the burners or it gets too much gas and blast fire. Can you recommend a fix? Hey Melisa, does your husband "Chad" really help with the housecleaning? How about your beautiful daughter? Can you recommend any music or games to make husbands and little children participate or at least not subvert proper home cleaning and tidying up? Thanks you're the best. After you clean random little hairs out of your sink with the cloth, are you shaking out the cloth outside, or are you throwing the hairy cloth into the laundry? Do you wait for it to dry first? So many things to deal with 😕
@stefaniemarkowski25127 ай бұрын
I would clean little hairs with a paper towel so you can throw it out. If you use a cloth, I would shake it outside really well and then rinse it under some water and let it dry if you're not going to launder it right away

What makes me laugh is when some people are really fussy about having a clean bathroom & loo, yet they have damp hand towels that they expect everyone to use. I refuse to dry my hands on people’s hand towels. In my bathroom & loo I have kitchen roll & if other people don’t have kitchen roll I use loo roll instead. Also, I know vinegar & bicarbonate of soda is great but does no one ever just use ready-made stuff, like Flash bathroom spray?

Microfiber is so bad for the ocean. It sheds micro plastic every time you wash it. Unless you get a to special bag to wash it in it's going straight into our water systems.

Toilet brushes are a waste of time hold germs. Use iron out once a week let it set at least one hour. Threw the week just use dish detergent. I have done house work for years. I don’t use a lot of boughten Cleaners not necessary. I buy rubbing alcohol at the dollar store that is a disinfectant, I mix it with water does an excellent job leaves every clean shining. I use it on windows mix in a spray bottle . The rubbing alcohol you can get it as high as ninety Percent alcohol or Forty percent. I believe in simplifying the product as much as possible if it does the job saves money gets the job done you don’t have to carry so many products around that is not necessary. I never use window cleaner if you have a bucket of water you put the alcohol just pore some in a little dish detergent a fibre cloth to clean the window, then you use a fibre cloth to shine its so clean you can hardly tell there is glass in the window. Give some of these ideas a try. I am not kidding I know what I am talking about, did it for a living, Two homes a day.

completely bog standard basic information. At least fold up the towel when wiping, instead of bunching it all up.
@KN-lu5ty6 ай бұрын
Fold up the microfiber and switch sides frequently during the S pattern right? And also, its gross to wipe the around the faucet and then continue on with the rest of the counter with the same side of the cloth. Better to use a disposable paper towel on the dirtiest parts then follow with the s pattern once gunk is gone. She really misses the basics sometimes
