Good after Mrs Chad Melissa Maker! I send you warm greetings from Cold Chicago - (Canadian Cold from came though Thanks CANADIANS! :-) I'm left behind in this U Chicago neighborhood, seriously over educated and underemployed (BA Vanderbilt, MBA Stern New York University). I've done some successful radio comedy, tour guides, but keep getting fired by bossy, man hating women managers. Do you think there would be an interest in a cleaning, disinfecting company featuring men like me that got passed over by the Corporate, Academic system - something like "BA/MBA maids"? In this marketing niche, we would target women lawyers, women professors, women executives that would hire us passed over men to clean their houses, do their laundry, shop for them etc. They would have the fun of bossing around male sexists ha ha. Also, how about a cleaning niche of coming in after a family got sick and cleaning, disinfecting everything - clothes, rooms, beds, bathrooms and kitchens. Do you know of any cleaners that specialize in that, dress in hazard jump shoots, gas masks etc. Thanks Mrs Chad Mellisa Maker. When are you and Chad coming back to Chicago? I missed you last time. Your devoted fan, Jaye Left Behind in Chicago

There are also Homeless organizations that will take it. Along with clothes and misc. items. Please wash and sanitize before donating. The pillows need to be washed in a tight fitting pillow case and can be dried the same way. It keeps the fiber from shifting. The Lysol laundry and sanitizer 0% bleach works great and smells fantastic. I even put some in a spry bottle and 50/50ith water to fresh up my bedding. The other item I use is "Fabric and Room Freshener" Egyptian cotton. I find it at Kohls. Made in USA. Distributed BY CST, Fall River,Mass.02721.. can't get any springer than those two items.

protip about vaccing, do it very slowly. you get more dirt and there is less wear and tear than running it back and forth so fast. i learned this working at merry maids back in the 17th century. if you don't believe me, test how much dirt you get in your canister or whatever by doing it slowly.

Legitimately, the only reason I haven't bought a sink shroom is because I need one in black and have yet to find one. Stainless in my black sink makes my teeth gnash. Lol

I check labels before I buy now too. But the “dry clean only” clothes that I have now I wash on the gentle cycle and lay flat to dry…if I ruin it, it’s not meant for me 😊

Hi hon, thanks for all the tips! I wanted to see if I could help you… I was wondering if you have tried unplugging & re plugging the electric cord to your range? Also, have you tried flicking the breakers for the range? You might wanna do the breaker first unplug it and re-plug it while the breakers off just to make you feel safer… but there’s no danger in plug-in unplugging a cord even if it’s 225 power. Believe it or not this could be a fix , for many electrical things! Happy new year.!

Would you mind explaining why you use a mix of vinegar and dish soap for the tub, but just vinegar for the glass? And why it's not necessary to use vinegar on the toilet?

Hello Melissa, Happy New Year to you ! I am sorry I somehow missed this live stream too….they are usually on in the middle of the night when I’m sleeping because I live in Australia. Anyway I would love to ask you a question and I will be completely delighted if you could help me on this…… like you, I have a cat 🐈‍⬛ so my question is about cat hair ! It is the only thing I don’t like about having a cat. I like to wash her cat blanket in her bed and also other spots where she likes to sit ( cushions, on the throw rug which is on the top of the couch etc… ) the problem is the washing machine becomes coated in hair if I do so and I feel like its contaminating my washing machine. I wash cat stuff separately of course from all other loads. First thing I do is use a pet lint roller ( many times ) to clear off excess hair, then I shake the things outdoors, then I wash in washing machine, and then I find still more cat hair remaining in the washer ! Is there a product that somehow magically clears it away and dislodges it from fabric ? I have a top loader. Thanks Melissa ! I have been watching your channel for 10 years now so I kind of feel like you are my distant Canadian cousin who also happens to be a cat person…..

Replay subbie here! Loved this live. I have been a subbie since the early days of your channel as I have the same passion for cleaning as you 😂. My cleaning bug started as a child as my parents house was really moldy, dusty and hoarder style. Basically I was asthmatic and had severe allergies because of the house and that trauma led me to be a clean freak. I’ve always made my own enviro cleaning products and they work like a charm. Being doing this now for 32 years and a lot of your tips are the same as mine which I know shows your authenticity and care for helping others with cleaning. You are amazing ❤😊 happy new year from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺

I periodically wash/dry and bundle my old linens and keep them in my car. Whenever I see a "pound truck", I give them to the driver to take to the pet shelter, which is quite a ways from me.

I thought my floor was clean until I bought the V15 Dyson with the laser light oh my God I had no clue I was living in such filth on my floors my floors look perfectly clean with the regular vacuum. The green light picked up every tiny little thing, I can’t stop vacuuming even within an hour or two of vacuuming. I go back and look it over. There’s still stuff on the floor. I have no clue where it’s coming from the windows are double painted everything‘s closed Upfilters are all changed, but now I’m obsessed with this stupid vacuum there’s almost a part of me that which I hadn’t gotten it because it’s so effective and you can see anything that’s on that floor I vacuum in the dark mostly to pick up everything with the green light that highlights it.

Everyone used Borax back in my generation of growing up. Now there are so many other products I think people gravitate to those even tho the old school stuff works great and is usually cheaper. Nobody is passing the old knowledge down. So thank you for this video. (I was born in 1955, graduated high school 1973.). They used to call it mule team Borax and it had a picture of a wagon being pulled by 12? Mules. Because that’s how It was harvested back in the day.

Dishwasher repair people and manufacturers want you to not clean all the Chunky stuff off your dishes so they will clog your drain and you will call them to clear the clog, thus boosting their bank account. Also manufacturer wants machine to wear out faster so you have to buy a new machine earlier.
