The beginning of the speech was my favorite part of the speech and it moved my soul! I’ve been walking around the house shouting “Here they come y’all!”

@@kelvindavis7806 I am a baby boomer who lived in the southeast and on the northeast coast. There are a lot of HBCUs located in those area. So a lot of the churches and civil rights organizations were involved with HBCUs. This meant a lot of pastors and civil rights leaders spoke at the commencements. This was doing the 60s, 70s and early 80s when I was involved. There was no social media or internet to record and stream these speeches, especially by those who were not nationally well known.

Why JUST the Best "HBCU" Commencement Speech??? Why Not just- "Best Commencement Speech(.)"
@getinloser6664 ай бұрын
Stop being naïve. We need to this to be established as an HBCU speech. They’re trying to erase the HBCU and you’re advocating for that very same erasure every time you want to make something that’s for us, for “everybody”. What a silly comment.
@getinloser6664 ай бұрын
Are you serious? We need to this to be established as an HBCU speech. They’re trying to erase the HBCU and you’re advocating for that very same erasure every time you want to make something that’s for us, for “everybody”. I don’t think you thought your comment through.
@getinloser6664 ай бұрын
Because this isn’t just any school, it’s an HBCU. An HBCU isn’t meant for everybody. In fact, look at the crowd and tell me what you notice.

He was a heck of a lot better than Biden at Morehouse. Biden told those young men America didn’t want them. I would not vote for Biden if you paid me. Days of scaring Black people is over.

50 percent of America does not want us to succeed, achieve, flourish and raise successful children, just live the American dream as our Caucasian counterparts are allowed to do. It is up to our people to prove them wrong by fighting to succeed no matter what barriers are thrown up in our way such as Trump and the repub party. We shall overcome.
@ladyk76754 ай бұрын
@@louisehancock324 really we can’t believe either of these parties want us to succeed. I have no faith in either party. One in a snake on the sidewalk the other a snake in the grass. But I agree with you we will succeed regardless!
@louisehancock3244 ай бұрын
@@ladyk7675 As Black people we cannot allow our votes to be wasted. We have to know the facts about how our government works and what our leaders are or are not contributing to the country. It is the job of the Congress to develop and pass laws to benefit the country. Yes prices are high for food and gas, but that is because of price gouging rich people. We are losing rights instead of gaining them. I am a senior citizen who marched and did sit-ins during the civil rights movement for the right to vote, housing equality, equal pay, education and job opportunities, the right to control our bodies for my children and others. I refuse to allow a constantly vocal racist, non-empathetic, non-intelligent person be in-charge of this country. Unfortunately we are at the point that we need to choose the lesser of two evils and there have been other times during my life I had to make that decision. Investigate, Let the facts and not the rhetoric help you make an informed decision. Also remember to vote now because if the wrong person and political party controls the country, that right may also disappear, just like other rights we no longer have.

My, My..I just had to do a little dance! 💃 Wow! I haven't heard preaching like that since I was a little girl, sitting next to my mother in church. All the ladies were fanning themselves, and some were dancing, and other's were falling out under the power of the Holy Ghost! The men were wiping their foreheads crying out call and response a loud, Amen! Thank you, Jesus! Black colleges and communities are having a revival and revitalized by our "young 🦁 lions" the Lord promised to send us so long ago. Good job! ⚡️ "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." ~ Isaiah 6:3 (NIV) ✨️ "Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
