This is one of the best laser engravers I have tested so far. It has a very powerful laser module (40W). You can easily cut different woods (hardwood and softwood), acrylic , ...
You can engrave on wood, aluminum cards, steel, stainless steel, glass...
You can engrave on flat surfaces and on cylindrical objects (bottles, ...)

What is the work size area and have you gotten the extension kit?

Everything looks good ... the materials used seem to be made of high-quality, anodized aluminum and the structure is apparently also intuitive. I am only worried about the smoke development. Doing something like that in his apartment doesn't seem so good to me. For me, the smoke detectors would certainly start and this small suction is not sufficient in my opinion. Nevertheless, I like the device very much, even if I won't buy it

Is there ever a reason to switch back to the 10W from the 40W and if so do you have to make all those changes again?

Unfortunately I dont have an aswer to that. Please contact xTool and ask them. For me personally, I dont see a point in switching back. I just saved everything for a backup.
