Ren is special. The way he can use words and music to draw attention to problems in such a real way is masterful.

Beautiful eye opening song and reaction thank you. EVERONE should be reacting to this song to spread the word and give people the confidence to realise that we're ALL beautiful in our own way and screw ANYONE that thinks otherwise! ❤❤❤

Beautifu and powerful song from Ren with an important message. I also recommend the live busking version on the Brighton Beach Busking channel that @eryksun mentioned too. He's always so good live! 💛

This song is special to me I shared it to my daughters he has this ability to put the right words to anything that needs awareness.. I just get my words jumbled up he said what I wanted to say for years.. So important to talk about this stuff.. It's not just girls either I witnessed boys suffering with eating disorders and it's life threatening 😒..be unique feel ya worth why you want to be loved by strangers just love yourself and you will notice the change around you ❤✌️

Its not just about you stopping and reacting during a song- if you feel the need to not pause a lot in a song due to an important message or its moving etc you can still share your thoughts more at the end too which is just as important. I think reaction vids are as much about us wanting to hear the reactors opinion as seeing their reaction.

great reaction. "You said that Ren is so beyond his time and his years." What's wild is that this is one of the songs he did on his own, when he was sick, to finish the Freckled Angels album 8 years ago.

Every time I hear this song I think of two classic Twilight Zone episodes: Eye of the Beholder (aka The Private World of Darkness) and Number 12 Looks Just Like You. Both episodes deal with societal views of beauty. It just points out that this has been a concern for a long time, and it's only gotten worse.

I agree with the disparity between men and women, this song hits me as the father of a teenage girl. I make an effort to point out how, especially with celebrities, that most of these people have strict diets, trainers and even a support staff (which can include doctors, stylist and editors) who keep them looking a certain way and that's *not normal for 99% of the population*. How TV shows have an unnatural percentage of "beautiful people".

Liked your commentary, dude. Ren is a special one.

Young girls fall into this trap, especially at that hormonal age of early teens. I'm 55 yr old female and the girls growing up were ruthless. You had to fit in or get ridiculed. If you tried to stand your ground you were usually on an island by yourself. Some of us were dirt poor and had mom haircuts and cheap Sears clothes....let the ridiculing begin...lol. Funny how I don't give a crap about that now, but watched my daughter go through it and I imagine my new twin granddaughters will as well. You can tell them till you are blue in the face but their peers are everything to them.
