Does this camera allow patrolling? In other words, can you set locations and it will move from location to location on a set schedule, to cover more area?

It has a cruise mode " similar " and presets " locations." The setting shuts off after 2 hours.

My thoughts as a retired mechanic : it would have to be industrial strength to run a pattern day after day and every hour/half hour or such. When it comes to cars and trucks, I love all the gadgets/ bells and whistles, but some grief may be spared, by turning off automatic seats that move every time you open and close the door along with telescoping steering columns etc. I think it's the right call for longevity and customer satisfaction.

On the pc vms it gives you option to set it for 15 min all the way to up to 8 hours. Its set for 2 hours on default.​@BRigwald

Finally someone who actual tested it. Thank you.. the auto tracking and spot light got me interested. Aslo the 4mp. I have the older 18x cam.. its amaxing how far it can see. Thank you my friend. Are you a product tester too or just customer?

You are very welcome. Yes, it is amazing how far the laser infrared leds, light the area. They turn on past a certain zoom range. I am not a product tester, but Foscam took notice of my channel and asked if I would review the V5P. I said yes and told them my interest in the SD4H...the specs in the SD4H were just amazing, and caught my attention. Surprisingly, and thankfully, Foscam sent that one over.

Does the camera auto track cars too?

I have no information on if it will track cars. That would definitely tax the equipment. I would guess...not, but I could be wrong.

does it zoom on moving object when auto tracking? or only track the object while moving? thanks

I have seen it make a slight zoom during tracking. My yard doesn't have the distance to test further.

@@htnowpro can you set the range the camera zoom or it has its own settings ? cause professional ptz has this settings so I was wondering since it has the auto tracking feature and a long range zoom , thanks

You can set a favorite with a manual zoom setting. Then you can put the camera in cruise mode (2 hours) and select presets. The then camera will cruise all your presets for a 2 hour time period.
