Hinata had the most potential in the series, just to do nothing but gush for Naruto. And she couldn’t even do anything when she tried to protect him. This literally still shows in the Boruto movie and in episode 61 or 62 (well somewhere near the 60s. Can’t really remember rn) in Boruto. Sakura was the worst amongst all of them tho cause she’s literally an MC. And some didn’t even get enough screen time. Of course TenTen comes to mind. She had so little screen time that we barely got to see her character development. I’ll be honest. Sakura’s completely fine in Boruto. (Which is actually sad cause the story doesn’t revolve around the previous generation anymore. The female characters in this anime deserved better. I really like Hinata, but I can’t lie when I say they made her really useless.

Sakura was a real underdog. Miss gurl had nothing to work with besides her chakra control. She WORKED hard and studied to be a ninja, which proved to be effective in the chunin exams. She didn't come from some strong clan or have a special jutsu. She was paired up with the strongest ninjas like ever and instead of giving up when she realized she wasn't anywhere near their level. She asked to be tsunades apprentice AND trained brutally hard. Became the best medical ninja and is one of the best at medical ninjustu. Went from possibly the weakest in the rookie 9 to top 3. And is now strongest kunoichi.

Dodging the iron sand while Chiyo thought she got hit. Suckering the third Kazekage in while Chiyo and Sasori thought she simply passed out. Taking a sword to the stomach to save Chiyo. Creating an antidote for the poison. Chiyo had literally nothing to do with these. These were key moments solely done by Sakura that helped them win. It’s a 50/50 split at best.

Having Tsunade hold her hand and just copying every jutsu in Tsunade's arsenal isn't exactly working hard to me. Naruto and Sasuke trained a lot by themselves with some advice and guidance from others, while Sakura never trained unless Tsunade was available. When Tsunade was not available for training Sakura was sneaking out of the village and into Tsunade's private library to nose around for information about Sasuke, as she herself admitted (Naruto Shippuden episode 9).

Sakura is the most amazing character development in the series, from one who easily gives up and doesn't care about much other than her love life, to one who works hard tirelessly to become the strongest kunoichi, because she's sick of being looked down as a woman, wants to be able to stand on her own feet and protect the people she loves. Her chakra reserves far surpass Sakura because she’s able to activate her aging justsu while fight and healing people all at once that tells you the difference. Then on top of that Sakura shouldn’t even been able to use the uzumaki seal on her forehead because it takes up too much chakara well Sakura can keep up the 100 seals mode for a little bit while tsuande can go longer as a old women so imagine her in her prime

i think the problem is it took way too long for her to become useful. It took her hundreds of episodes. I think sakura is definitely very useful in Boruto and most of naruto shippuden, but I think because she had so much screen time in the show people eventually got tired of it. I'm not a sakura hater, I actually defend her a lot. But objectively speaking she isn't a great female heroine. None of the girls were written properly with very few exceptions.

The antidote Sakura made for herself and Chiyo during the fight turned the poison into proteins for about 5 minutes, but they’d revert to wearing down the body once the time was out. That’s why Sakura was counting down to her punch on Sasori-because she was trying to get the punch in before the poison took effect again and made her fall apart. So the poison was still a VERY pressing issue throughout the fight (especially since she could only make 2 antidotes) And again, she’s probs like the 2nd best healer in the world atp, so you gotta give her credit lol

She is the granddaughter of Hashirama and she only has strength and healing not even compared to him. Konan had her ups and downs and came close of defeating Obito and even then she was still more useful at that time of being. Kushina literally held back the 9 tails so Naruto could obtain his chakra.
