Thanks brother. I grew up blackfishin eastern Long Island. Its interesteng. The best baits for me, were the tiniest china back fiddlers, or huge hermit crabs whole. My best blackfish or "tog" was just over 13 pounds 1995.

@@offkilterfishing If you ever do it. Columbus Day weekend is the time. Orient Point- Black Rock charters. Do a full day. Tog, stripers blues. Maybe some hog 3# sea bass too. The fishing grounds areliterally 15 minutes from the harbor. The area is called Plum Gut. It is a deep boulderstrewn area of legendary proportions. It’s not cheap, but what is? Fun trip to split among buds.

Those are some big trout from the look of it. Is that way out there in 30+ ft of water? I'm surprised the gopro gets enough light to see anything.

What’s your art of tying off to the bridges on rougher or more busy days?

I try to avoid it on busy days to be honest. Weekdays are best during the off season. Stay away from the middle of the channel where the boats zoom by. Good luck!

Most likely, but could be speckled. Hard to tell with the low light.
