Excellent fishing trip and great video. I have to say… you had me on pins and needles every time you tossed a fish in that cooler with the lid opening to the inside / cooler opening to the outside…wooooooo! Thought that big one was going to get away!

I have seen Off Kilter using some Bottom Sweeper Jigs, Jawbreaker jigs (made local by 43-2 fishing out of New Bern), and his two drop egg sinker rig (which works awesome). I can’t remember the title of his video, but he has a video on making the rig and I think there is a video asking folks which hooks they use, which had good info in the video and in the comments.

I have good luck at both and many other places depending on the tide and weather. Just keep moving around until you find them. Everywhere can be hit or miss. Focus on fishing the solunar peak times as well, it has really changed my outlook on fishing.

You think 2/0 regular gamakatsu hook would be ok to use?

I know that people use those, it really depends on what pound test line you will be using. I use 4x strong hooks because I use 100 pound braid. Good Luck!
