I've made a wood stove that's small but powerful for cooking. The stove firebox was made using a stainless steel food container. A baffle plate is installed to maximize the heat of the stove top. Hope you enjoy this video.
Disclaimer: Using a stove in a confined space can be very dangerous. When using a stove, be sure to ventilate properly and be prepared for fire or other safety accidents. I am not responsible for any loss or injury caused by carelessness.
Thank you for watching.
Always be safe and have a fun camping.

Firstly thanks for inspiring me to make my own stove based on your design, I enjoyed the process! I have not included the heat sink, and just have single rather rudimentary door with simple air control. It works very well. I know you cannot say exactly how much use these stoves can take before component failure, but from what I've gathered from comments is that the lower fire box is the main concern. By chance I've managed to fit a 1.1mm thick lower pan so hoping this extends life span! Keep inspiring people to make things and enjoying the outdoors!

From one fabricator to another: holy cow, friend. The amount of planning and detail paired with on the fly fitting without measuring is really amazing. I don't speak Korean or read Hangul, but I was still able to follow along each step. By sticking solely to drilling holes and using bolts, you have made it accessible to a much larger potential audience. Also, there is a special mastery to the simplicity of the design and its execution. I see that you've built a bunch of further iterations of this, as well as a few other projects. I'm subscribed, and I look forward to watching through your whole catalogue of videos.

@@lisah6451 You can get all of the needed pans on a restaurant supply website for under $50(usd), and the bolts and whatnot at a hardware store for probably >$10. ※ 중요 공지 / Important notice-English at the bottom-Must read 안녕하세요. Hello. Thank you for your interest in M-Stove, the second self-made stove. The V2 was designed to be used lightly for camping without welding with materials readily available in the surroundings. The materials used are stainless steel (except the intake regulator) and the thickness is thin, which makes it not suitable for long time and long time use. The answers to frequently asked questions are summarized as follows. Q: I want to buy, what's the price? A: I don't sell right now. In the future, I will make a few for those who need it. Material costs will be approximately $ 110 or more. (Including 8 stacks) Q: Where can I buy window glass? A: It is a heat resistant glass product of Camtory firewood stove. (Unfortunately, currently limited to domestic sales in Korea) Q: I think the stainless steel is thin, can I use it for a long time? A: I've found a lot of materials in stainless steel. Except for some, it is not suitable as a material for making stoves that are exposed to direct flames for a long time in a high temperature combustion environment. And because of its high coefficient of thermal expansion, deformation occurs easily every time it is heated or cooled. Since thermal conductivity is about 1/3 that of ordinary carbon steel, heat dissipation is relatively poor. I still use stainless steel. It's easy to get, hardly rust, and it's used for camping. ^^; Q: Can I use rivets instead of bolts and nuts? A: You can use stainless steel rivets. Regular aluminum rivets will melt. I used bolts and nuts to make maintenance easier. Q: Why is the padding on the top and sides? A: The plate overlaid on the heat delay plate at the top is to make the flame to the top plate to raise the temperature of the top plate to secure enough heat for cooking. (Sometimes it's too hot.) The plate on the side secures an air insulation layer and circulates the warmed air to expect a slight heating effect. These are my greed. This is for decoration. ^^; Q: What (brand) product is the meat roasting pan? A: This is sponsored by my mother-in-law, but there is no information except that it was made in China. If anyone knows please let me know ㅠㅠ Q: Please share your material purchase place. A: The materials used are listed in the description. Most of them were purchased from an online store. If you buy them individually, the shipping cost is too high, so you can go to nearby kitchen utensils and tool stores. Thank you for your interest once again. If you make it yourself, I will support you with experience I want you to be safe and have fun. ※ Careless use of a stove in an enclosed place or in a place where there is a danger of fire can take away your precious life.

I am super impressed by how much metalworking people can get away with without a welder! I've always wanted to mess around with metal and I also want one of those winnerwell window stoves but they're at least $600! This looks like a fun weekend project, thank you!

For a traditional fireplace, the holes in the baffles and the location of the chimney will be different. My stove is different from that. The combustion chamber is small but designed to deliver high temperatures for cooking to the top. I may have misunderstood your first comment. I hope you understand.

Nice design. If you get some small fiberglass rope you can sandwich it between the top pieces and between the glass and the metal to stop air leakage and noise from the glass.

Great job! Two minor changes to my design swiped from you. 😄 1. Small piece of the ceramic rope around the main top and bottom seal (where you added more bolts at the end to try and hold it more tightly closed) and around the glass (to stop leakage and the rattling). 2. Added a rotatable damper in the flue. THANKS FOR THE GREAT IDEA!

After taking care of stoves for almost 25 years I discovered that gasketing is the most important piece of equipment you have. My suggestion at improving, is the addition of gasketing between the sections, and between the glass and the stove itself. This will solve the shaking problem, and this will actually improve the efficiency.

And for all of the homemade stoves I've seen on KZbin, this is got to be one of the best designs. A two-pass system with radiant guards is phenomenal. as a boiler operator I couldn't have designed anything better.

after 25 years ..... you should know better........ balance of the bills ... if you get the parts realy cheap, get the tools to build it realy cheap, and you expect to replace the stove afther 2 years of use at the campin....

With some very cheap gasketing, he will get better control of the fire, thus cutting down the wear and tear on this stove. And possibly get much longer than a measly 2 years. Hell I got a 6-year-old stove I use about four or five times a year and for my camping. Why? Because I have good control on my air flow.
