Super Sluggers is great. Hands down the best story mode in all of the Mario Sports games. I loved traveling the areas unlocking characters to add to your roster with the different captains.

Sluggers worse then Superstar Baseball? Can't say I agree with that at all, Kai. I still love both Mario Baseball games though, maybe more then the Strikers duo. Hopefully they'll be the next Mario Sports game to be revived.

I've actually never played the gamecube one but I love sluggers to death and will always defend it. I understand it can be gimmicky but the thing is if that's not your thing you can literally turn all the gimicks off. Don't want a map with any jank at all? Pick Mario Stadium. They even have stadiums that just have a little bit of jank like DK Jungle and Yoshi Park and of course all out jank like Bowser Jr.'s playhouse and Peach's Castle so between that and being able to turn off stars and items the level of jank you want in the game is really up to you.

3:04 i was great at being a catcher when i was younger, but i got taller and couldnt crouch as well anymore so they fucked me into the outfield and id just play in the grass while everyone had fun up front

All I gotta say is that if you’re doing sluggers (also how dare you insult super sluggers) you gotta be doing a full game and not the mini games. If it’s anything like the Wii one you can do 2v2
