The participants of Best Singers are generally Dutch singers who do not necessarily come from the same scene. The show thus creates an interesting environment in which singers whose paths would not normally cross suddenly come into contact with each other. In many cases this produces unexpected combinations. It often happens that participants have to sing in a language that is foreign to them, or suddenly have to do a rap part while they are not used to it. A standing 'tradition' at Best Singers is that participants often become emotional from each other's performances. As a viewer you know that a performance has been successful when the participants sit along with the music with teary eyes.

She did great but she does have a heavy Dutch accent when rapping in English. Like so many Dutch have heavy Dutch accents when speaking English. And that is also kinda cute because you can hear that she is rapping in a language that is foreign to her and not her native tongue.

My native language is English. I've been speaking it, more or less, for 77 years. And, to me, this young lady's English is nearly flawless.
