In this video we fit the integrated air compressor into the rear boot area / trunk of our 2020 Land Rover Defender 110. This is Land Rover Part Numbers
VPLES0617 (90/110) ( the old PN is VPLES0574 but this only fits the 110 )

I connected an anderson plug and cable through my seat box from the battery. When I want to inflate my tyres I get out my little bushranger compressor, plug it into the preinstalled anderson plugs and bobs your uncle! Total cost was probably a couple of greenies and the compressor is still portable to lend to a mate.

Hi Jason We get an E error code sometimes when the pump can see no resistance - make sure that your hose connections are good

My RRS L320 (‘07) has a cigarette adapter in the rear, near the truck’s cargo cover. Seems like this compressor could be used for older cars as well. Sure, mounting it would be custom, but overall wiring would be simple.

You ask why the Air Suspension compressor can't be used instead? Well what about the folks that order their vehicles with Coil Suspension? That means they'd have to create a standalone compressor anyway for those people, but then have the added complexity of having a second system for cars with air suspension.

Great video again Simon however that screw on schrader valve is a pain in the backside, if by chance when you go to screw it on to the tyre you are going to pump up and the valve cap is missing and the threads are a bit rusty you aint screwing that on had experience with this, ended up going back to the old but gold press on type and especially if you have been offroading and a cap falls off you will need to make sure the threads are all clean before using it also if you get the threads inside the fitting crossed threaded thats the hose knackered .

I have a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander with a compressed air port that uses the rear air suspension compressor, and there's a button next to the port to engage the compressor along with a valve that sends air to the port instead of to the helper air bellows.

Could I ask a question, not totally relevant to this installation you’ve said in one of your previous videos that you were going to attempt to put gearshift paddles on your defender 110. Could you tell me if you have been able to do it or if it is not possible to do thank you very much for all of your videos. Yes we have done this on our 110 Defender - we are trying to do it on our Defender 90

I thought with the Disco and RR's, they could put a valve in to the air tank for tyres etc. But then someone said that the compressor pumps would just get too over worked and crap out more (than they do now..??). I guess if you're clever, you could upgrade the pump and fiddle..? Someone with a D3 converted to coil springs, then used the air tank for things and just put a switch on the compressor relay to top the tank up

Could your air down to 18psi then time how long to get up to 32 psi please Simon? What is the stated duty cycle of the compressor as the continuous use of my old ARB compressor went into a safe mode whilst airing up 4 tyres on a warm day. I know have a Viair portable compressor which is excellent and has a good duty cycle. When can I expect my beanie hat didn't mention in the earlier video when spotted the missing link but this on with no link to interior panel removal ha ha.

Simon i have one question regarding the compressor. I have been using it quite often but it is the second time that i am facing with a blown fuse problem. It was already installed when we picked up our Defenderder last year and after the first fuse problem i took defender to them and they have just changed the fuse and gave me one additional fuse in case it happens again. So, do you have any idea why it happens? I know it is just a fuse but I am gonna pick it to the dealer tomorrow but seriously wonder why it is happening.

There is a software update available - can you see if the dealer can perform this for you.... also if you can get the user name and password for us all to do the update that would be great. @@L663 I visited the dealer today and told my blown fuse problem and Compressor software update. The surprising thing is, i think i am the only guy in Germany who mentioned it to a dealer 😁 because they were surprised and told me that they have never heard of it. They checked and downloaded the app but interestingly wasn't able to provide me the password. They are gonna wait for an answer from Land Rover. Blown fuse has been replaced with a new one as a temporary solution. I even told them i could do it but wanted them to know that this was the second time i have faced with it. They also offered to put a different fuse to get rid of the issue but i told them that they have to check it with Land Rover first. My updates will continue 😁

Here i am again with my latest update. Dealer has updated the compressors software but they haven't given the password and email address to me. They said that this is only for retalilers and added that i am the only guy and they are the only dealer who has asked this question to Land Rover from Germany. I wasnt able to try the compressor yet because i picked up my car yesterday.

The big need is to pump up airguns. However this compressor will get nowhere near the 3000psi/200bar required. Us sporting types are very demanding of our trucks! That being the case we need a secure location for a diver's bottle. Don't fancy one of those hitting the back of my head in an accident on its way through the windscreen. We also need something to legally carry up to four rifles or shotguns in the back, without being on the floor with all the other luggage parked on top limiting accessibility.

I've been thinking about this and one of the installation guides seems to show the amplifier having a cooling fan - is that only certain models? I'm wondering how much airflow would be blocked since it seems to show it fitting right behind where the compressor bracket goes.

I fitted a Genuine Land Rover Discovery 5 Wireless Phone Charger (VPLRV0118) with a bit of moding the loom seats in the d4 Cup holder nice. so be good to see if one of the air compressor will fit

There's a software update available in the iOS App Store " LR IAC Update" that can be downloaded to your phone, but it says a dealer has to do the update. My compressor has begun reading the wrong pressures from tires (off by 10-13psi) and I'm hoping this may fix it? I installed the compressor myself, from your video! So since my dealer didn't install it, I don't think they'll support any warranty repair... ugh.

This is interesting - there are some instructions here accessories-instructions.landrover.com/enUSA/new-defender/G2409729 I downloaded the app and tried to logon but the only email it will accept is ???@nsvauto.com You could try a few combinations of passwords and emails ? I have writted to NSVauto and asked for the username and password ! All genuine Land Rover accessories come with warrnty Land Rover provide the instructions for you to install yourself - so will support you.

The dealer price is around £616 for the pump without fitting.. We will try and source some ( currently we do not have any ) and make them available Our prices can be more than a dealer due to postage costs and potential ebay fees etc but we try and be competitive.
