Thanks Greg. Its mainly because I can't afford to pay someone to do it for me and I want to go fast so my only choice is to do it myself 🤣 Hopefully we got it right this time.

@@Burndown Growing up in a racing family in the 50’s we definitely had to plan our racing around a very tight budget to. In the mid 60’s midget racing was making a comeback, problem was if you couldn’t afford an Offenhauser, it was hard to be competitive, we had a 153 cu in Chevy with 2 97’s, couldn’t afford fuel injection, it was a car originally built in the late 40’s early 50’s, with 20% nitro, it was competitive, I didn’t care it was our pride and joy, tore it apart and fix it right and did well with it. We had so much fun, expectations weren’t super high so when we had good results, it was so gratifying. Your car is your creation, I’m sure you feel like I did, when you accomplish your goals, inside you feel great. You built it with your hard work and sweat, nothing feels better.

Thanks for taking your time to post the powerglide content , big help ! Do you know if the retaining clips for the reverse and high gear pistons are the same size ? 🤙 be easy

Not sure off hand but you could use calipers and measure one to the other and see.

@@Burndown will do ! Just need to get back to the shop and pull it apart. I put the trans together a week or so ago , and never compared the two clips. The thought came to me while watching your video. I'll let you know what I find out !

You should talk to someone that builds them about clearances because I know when I did my 4l60e the tutorial I watched said like .060 to .080 or something for the 3-4 clutches and I haven't had any problems but I have seen most people want it around .025 so if you have the resources of people to ask you might and just write what they say down in the book

I have a power glide book I have been using for reference. I also talked to my buddy Ryan on where we ended up and he agreed it should be good to go. Either way I feel like we will know here pretty soon I guess.
