Love how they call it "integrated" bumper when it sticks out a foot beyond. Better to just buy a bumper designed for a winch.
@trentonmurphy51562 жыл бұрын
The add on bumper is nice but for this truck, they just blocked the turbo intercooler airflow section completely.
@brutallyhonestmf55782 жыл бұрын
I agree. Fugly!
@DapimpBDSD2 жыл бұрын
Integrated because you keep the OEM bumper and doesn't require much modification but yeah, it's stick out alot. Also someone mentioned it blocked the intercooler and I mean technically it does but I'd say it just restrict the airflow a bit, obviously not ideal but probably not restricted enough to cause major issue.

16:41 what is you doin', baby?! I *love* Seafoam Deep-Creep but holy moley I wouldn't put a light oil on the rotor hat. Maybe white lithium grease, as it's thicker in viscosity and less likely to migrate to the disc's friction area, decreasing braking effectiveness.

I know we live in a car culture, and everyone is free to ruin their vehicle. After huge R&D and a directive to build trucks that lead the industry, people bring them home and put a leveling kit or a lift and ruin them. I want a low center of gravity for towing, and lifted trucks look hideous, but modify away. A big brake kit is always a good idea. Ford makes an OEM winch kit that looks pretty nice, and it lists for around $3100, but I saw them yesterday for 2100-2300. It is worth a look.

@csr8019962 жыл бұрын
Almost all pick ups have the rear higher than the front, so it's closer to level when you load the bed or when you tow a trailer, it's not a ford thing

It’s ALMOST like the engineers, who designed every nut and bolt, planned for the rake! Needless to say, I do not like leveling kits and despise squatted trucks.
@Diesel_Mountain2 жыл бұрын
I had a 150 briefly before swapping to my 250 and was very big into the idea of leveling it at the time. It didn't take long to realize how silly it would be to sit level if I ever planned to use it. I sit 1" lower in front and will never ride level on a truck I don't plan to treat like a pavement princess, which is all of them from now on.

I can keep it simple and do improvements while still making a big impact on functionality and durability. No more new or fancy vehicles for me.

Drum is the parking brake. Been that way since 1999 when they introduced rear disc brakes. Lots and lots of cars and trucks are made this way. It's kinda the standard.

what kind of truck do i need to tow a trialer park home. Richard - the “Sherman” park model weighs about 20,000 lbs and is typically moved by a big semi-truck. It is 15’ 10” high and sometimes requires pilot cars to go around certain bridges. We contract out with a shipping company that figures all this stuff out and we would be more than happy to handle the delivery should you buy one.

Throw a tuner in it and that would round it off and help with power and mileage.

A tuner can't help mileage on a diesel, and a new Super Duty makes 1050 foot pounds of torque through a 10 speed transmission. That is a perfect case for leaving it alone.

2018 F350 4X4 6.7 diesel less than 5000 miles. Rarely drive it. Have to change the DEF fluid every year. DEF goes bad and if it's pumped thru the system it'll cost ya around $3000 to fix it. These trucks are made to work. If you're not going to work it then don't get one as it'll drain your wallet just sitting there. What sold me on it is the power of the 6.7 diesel. If I could get traction the truck could pull your house off it's foundation. Electronics suck on the truck. Factory Ford recalls, get used to it. The front bumper they replaced is the same contour but I guarantee ya it's way stronger than the tin that came with the truck. I bent my front bumper on a tree stump. The metal is thin and weak. Been a life long Ford guy and have had 5 showroom new Ford vehicles. The new ones suck. still a Ford guy but I'll never again buy any Ford newer than a 1995.

Carolina squat is the worst visual craze to happen to vehicles since imports started doing extreme camber. Fortunately it's illegal now to have the front more than 4" higher than the rear, so you shouldn't really see them around except for when they drop the bags at a show or something like that.
