📖 Tutorial description: In this tutorial I will show you how to live link data between PowerPoint and Excel. Everytime you open your Excel file and update the data they will be reflected within PowerPoint. There will be a link between those files and any change (upon restarting Powerpoint) can be reflected both on tables and graphs from Excel.

Hello Jack, Windows, so the version is a bit different, that must be it :/ Sadly the MAC version has a couple of things that aren't implemented :/

Is there a way to link the data but not force the formatting? Often I don't want my PPT dashboard presentations to look like an Excel table

Maybe link just a part of the table (just the date) and format everything else around it and create some sort of table above those imported numbers so the "design" will be within powerpoint and data from excel

Hi Andrew, Would it be possible to make an Isometric cube in Powerpoint as a picture layout? There will be an image on each of the 3 sides. I have sen 3D cube tutorials, but I m looking for an isometric view.

You kinda could skew and adjust pictures so they would appear as if in an isometric view but would be really difficult and unpractical. I don't think there is a smooth and useful way of doing this without getting angry haha

@@andrewpach One more query if u don't mind. Can I convert a png file of Isometric cube(with transparent background) and convert that into a picture layout? I tried doing it using 3 cartoon images(with transparent background) and its almost what i want but not perfect.

Is there a way that I can unlink the data Powerpoint, then link the data to a new Powerpoint file? For context, I'm tracking data in an excel file - I make a presentation on the weekly basis and save a copy to create the next month structure of the presentation. Is there a way that I can edit the data in the new file, but the data in the old file stays the same.. (In Powerpoint Online)

It should work, but you would basically create a new table / chart so it's not really linking / unlinking I would say it's adding a new one and deleting the old one.

Is there a way where we can connect the PPT to excel where if I change number on ppt it updates here. So I have a game to play and I want the scores to be added on the ppt itself instead of using excel

you would still need to refresh the powerpoint so I'm not entire sure if it's suitable for that purpose. I don't think it will update the way you want it to ;/

@@andrewpach sooo what I did was I made the excel sheet shared it to my personal drive on microsoft. Opened the game on zoom with the ppt sharing and updated the scores on the excel sheet from my phone
